April 1993 :  Janet goes to Europe with Rene & the Kids to promote the album and perform “That’s The Way Love Goes” in many TV shows including :

February 19, 1994 : The whole Jackson family (except LaToya) is reunited at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas to rehearse & tape The Jackson Family Honors TV Special which is broadcasted a few days later around the world. Janet performs “Alright”.

March 21, 1994 : Janet & Rene attend the 66th Annual Academy Awards at Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in Los Angeles, where  “Again” is nominated for Best Song For A Film. Janet performs the song live but she does not win.

May 14, 1994 :  Janet performs “Throb” & “Anytime Anyplace” during the season finale of Saturday Night Live.

March 16, 1995 : Janet performs “Whoops Now” on Wetten Dass in Germany (aired on March 18).

Rehearsals

Rehearsals for the Rhythm Nation Tour were held in Los Angeles in January 1990. While rehearsing in L.A , Janet got a surprise visit from comedian Arsenio Hall who was recording his TV Show in another studio and she agreed to do the Miss You Much chair routine for his audience!

Janet then rehearsed in Pensacola, Florida for two weeks before the tour kickoff. She surprised the people of Pensacola with a concert that was announced only one day ahead of time. The $10 tickets, limited to a four per person, didn’t go on sale until the morning of the concert. All 7,600 tickets were sold within three hours. Another 1,000 tickets were given to local charities.

May 6, 1982 : During an episode of Diff’Rent Strokes titled “The Music Man” Janet sings “The Magic Is Working” a song she has just recorded for her debut album.

October 30, 1982 : Janet performs Young Love & Come Give Your Love On Me for the first time on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand and reveals why she wears a key on her ear ring.

November 5, 1982 : Janet performs Young Love on Solid Gold.
