Goin’ Back to Indiana is a live/soundtrack album by the Jackson 5 for Motown Records, taken from their September 16, 1971 ABC TV special of the same name. It is the Jackson 5’s sixth album overall, and was released on September 29, 1971. The Goin’ Back to Indiana television special featured comedians Bill Cosby and Tommy Smothers, singers Bobby Darin and Diana Ross, football players Roosevelt “Rosey” Grier and Ben Davidson, and basketball stars Bill Russell, Elgin Baylor, and Elvin Hayes. It also featured tracks recorded by the Jackson 5 during their May 29 “homecoming” concert at the Coliseum in Indianapolis, hence the show title.

Re-release
In 2001, Motown Records remastered all Jackson 5 albums in a ‘Two Classic Albums/One CD’ series (much like they did in the late 1980s). This album was paired up with Lookin’ Through the Windows (1972). The bonus tracks were “Love Song” and a live performance of “Who’s Lovin’ You”, which first appeared on the soundtrack of the 1992 TV movie The Jacksons: An American Dream.

The Jackson 5 in Japan, also known as In Japan!, is the first live album released by the Jackson 5, culled from a live concert held in Japan in 1973. It was released in the UK in 1986 as Michael Jackson with the Jackson 5 Live; Motown did not release the album in the United States until a limited-edition version was released in 2004, via specialty reissue label Hip-O Select. A quadrophonic mix was released in Japan in 1975, marking an early release of the band’s material in surround sound. The album sold over a million copies worldwide.

The Jacksons Live! (a.k.a. Live) is a live album by The Jacksons. It was released on November 11, 1981 by Epic Records. The album was recorded during the band’s North American concert tour in fall 1981, known as the Triumph Tour. The live double album was culled from recordings made on the tour’s stops in Buffalo, Providence, Atlanta, and New York City. The live album would go on to sell over two million copies worldwide.

Live at the Forum is a live album by American family musical group the Jackson 5. It was released on June 21, 2010. The live tracks contained in the album were mostly recorded on June 20, 1970 and August 26, 1972, during concerts at The Forum, in Inglewood, California. The 1970 concert was a record-breaking show of over 18,000 attending, with the group only having released two studio albums and a couple of singles out up to that point. This concert is an example of the group’s very early part of their career, on their first tour.

The band’s usual opening song, “Stand!”, was excluded from the release because the boys were having technical difficulties during the start of the 1970 show. Jermaine’s vocal microphone was off and his bass amplifier was inaudible, so the show had to be stopped for several minutes while the sound crew fixed everything.
“Mama’s Pearl” in disc one was taken from the group’s concert in Indiana on May 29, 1971. It is one of the five unreleased songs from that concert.
“Ain’t No Sunshine” was recorded the night after most of the second disc was recorded, at the San Diego International Sports Arena, August 27, 1972. It was edited into Michael’s solo set in the album’s track listing, whereas in the San Diego show, it was elsewhere in the setlist.

Live at Wembley July 16, 1988 is a live concert CD/DVD by American recording artist Michael Jackson released on September 18, 2012. It was included with the Bad 25 reissue, as well as by itself.
This particular concert took place on July 16, 1988, at Wembley Stadium in Wembley, London, to a sold-out crowd of 72,000, which included Diana, Princess of Wales and Charles, Prince of Wales. The DVD also includes “The Way You Make Me Feel”, from July 15 (the song was not performed on July 16 due to a late start of the show) and “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You”, and “Bad”, performed on September 26, 1987, in Yokohama, Japan. The Bad 25 deluxe package also contains a CD of the audio from the July 16 concert as well, with audio edited down to 80 minutes from the original two hours.
