Sheila tries to install her daughter in the Forrester family.
Erica Lovejoy is revealed to be Mary Warwick, Sheila’s daughter. Sheila wants Erica to replace Amber in Rick’s life. She recruits Lance to drug Amber and compromise her marriage, then kills him when he threatens to expose her. The scheme culminates in a confrontation at the Forrester mansion in which Sheila shoots Brooke and Taylor. en.wikipedia.org

4. Births

Child	Date	Details
Hope Logan	July 2, 2002 — episode #3831	Brooke and Deacon’s daughter is born at the Forrester cabin in Big Bear. Stephanie and Bridget help Brooke deliver her.

Hope is the major on-screen birth of this season. Her later revised birth year should not be confused with the original broadcast date. The Bold and the Beautiful

5. Recasts and SORAS

SORAS means Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome: a character ages much faster than the time elapsed on screen.

Character	Change	Date
Mary Warwick / Erica Lovejoy	Previously an infant played by child performers in 1997–1998; returns as a teenager portrayed by Courtnee Draper. A major SORAS: a child born in 1997 is now old enough to pursue Rick.	April 17, 2002 — #3777
Mark Maclaine	Previously a young child portrayed by Zachariah Koslow-Schillace; returns as an adult physician portrayed by Michael Dietz. Another major SORAS.	October 2, 2002 — #3894

Mary/Erica and Mark are returning characters, rather than entirely new creations. en.wikipedia.org

Hope’s infant casting changes are ordinary baby recasts, rather than SORAS:

Performers	Documented dates within the season
Keath and Sheyne Sahagun	July 2, 2002
Alex and Brody Lougeay	July 2–11, 2002
Colby and Grayson Button	From July 15, 2002
Madison and Paige Pelletier	October 14–16, 2002
Ava and Jack Dunlop	From December 2, 2002

These dates come from historical casting records; some fan lists give inconsistent first names or spellings. The later 2003 baby replacements fall outside this season’s boundaries. en-academic.com

Thomas, Phoebe and Steffy remain children during this season. Their better-known teenage recasts occur later. en.wikipedia.org

6. New characters

Adam Alexander	January 23, 2003	His brief return concludes
Tricia Quick	March 6, 2003	Her run ends
Lorenzo Barelli	March 18, 2003	His storyline with Macy concludes

Bill Spencer Sr.	February 19–20, 2003	Two-episode guest return

9. Weddings

Couple	Date	Outcome
Brooke Logan and Whip Jones	May 21, 2002 — #3801	They marry as part of the attempt to conceal Deacon’s paternity. The marriage is subsequently annulled.
Macy Alexander and Lorenzo Barelli	January 17, 2003 — #3966	They exchange vows, but the marriage proves invalid because Macy is still legally married to Thorne.

Some general wedding lists incorrectly place Macy and Lorenzo’s ceremony in 2002. The episode-specific record places the exchange of vows on January 17, 2003. mdblist.com

Amber and Rick’s unborn baby	April 2002; hospital aftermath shown April 15–17	Amber suffers a miscarriage.

11. Y&R / B&B Crossovers

Y&R characters appearing in B&B

Character	Actor	Date	Type of appearance
Lauren Fenmore	Tracey E. Bregman	July 5, 2002	A brief crossover from The Young and the Restless

Lauren’s July 5 visit is the clearly documented guest crossover within this season. Wikipedia

Sheila Carter portrayed by Kimberlin Brown also returns to B&B from May 24 to November 5, 2002. She originated on Y&R, but this is a return to her established B&B storyline, rather than a brief visit from an active Genoa City storyline. en.wikipedia.org

B&B characters appearing in Y&R

I found no confirmed appearance by a B&B-origin character in Y&R between March 25, 2002 and March 19, 2003.

Actor appearances in both series are not automatically crossovers: the actor must appear as the same character.

This guide uses the original U.S. broadcast dates. Exact dates are included where they could be verified; otherwise, the month or year is given.

Episode count and season dates

Item	Details
Number of episodes	247
First episode	#3513 — March 23, 2001
Last episode	#3759 — March 22, 2002

These boundaries matter because several major events from later in 2002 belong to Season 16. Plex

3. Main plots

Morgan’s obsession with Ridge becomes a kidnapping nightmare

Morgan’s pregnancy and her deception of Ridge threaten his marriage to Taylor. Ridge finally admits that he slept with Morgan and fathered her baby. After Morgan loses the child following a fall at Taylor’s house, her resentment intensifies. The Bold and the Beautiful

Ridge and Taylor reconcile and renew their vows in Saint Thomas. Their subsequent family holiday ends in tragedy when Steffy disappears during a boating incident. The family believes she has died, but Morgan has kidnapped her. Taylor eventually discovers the truth and becomes Morgan’s prisoner herself. Morgan’s accomplice, Tim Reid, helps maintain the deception. The storyline culminates in the rescue of Taylor and Steffy and further confrontations involving Morgan and Stephanie. The Bold and the Beautiful

Deacon turns Little Eric’s custody dispute into a struggle for Amber

Following Becky’s death in the preceding season, Amber, Rick and C.J. remain emotionally invested in Little Eric’s future. Rick’s efforts to secure the child bring his biological father, Deacon Sharpe, into their lives.

Deacon initially treats custody as an opportunity for money and power, then becomes increasingly attached to both his son and Amber. His presence destroys Amber and C.J.’s wedding plans and complicates her reunion with Rick. Carmen, Deacon’s girlfriend, becomes dangerously jealous; a rooftop confrontation involving Amber and Little Eric ends in Carmen’s death. The Bold and the Beautiful

Bridget becomes the victim of Deacon’s revenge

Rick and Amber proceed with their remarriage despite Deacon’s interference. Deacon arrives at their wedding with Bridget, using her attraction to him as leverage against the family. He subsequently marries Bridget in Las Vegas.

Bridget later overhears him admitting that their marriage was part of his scheme to obtain Amber. Devastated, she has a serious car accident. Deacon then claims that his feelings for her have become real, while his attraction to Amber continues to undermine both marriages. The Bold and the Beautiful

Brooke marries Thorne, but Ridge remains between them

Brooke and Thorne overcome family objections and marry. Stephanie finally attends, providing a temporary reconciliation between the Forresters and Logans. Sally, still mourning Macy, sees the wedding as a betrayal of her daughter.

The marriage subsequently deteriorates because Brooke’s attachment to Ridge has never disappeared. Thorne faces the painful realization that marrying Brooke has not made him her first choice. soapcentral.com

Kristen returns and falls in love with Tony

Kristen returns to Los Angeles and becomes involved with Antonio Dominguez, a talented designer recruited by Spectra. Professional rivalry gives way to a romance.

Tony learns that his former girlfriend Ellen has died of AIDS, prompting concern about his own HIV status. His diagnosis becomes central to the relationship: he fears for Kristen’s future and initially tries to distance himself from her. Their story explores love, disclosure and fear surrounding HIV.

Massimo introduces a new threat to the Forrester family

Massimo Marone arrives late in the season. His history with Stephanie and his hostility toward Brooke create a new source of conflict. He becomes involved in a scheme concerning Stephen Logan’s supposed terminal illness, intended to persuade Brooke to leave Los Angeles for Paris. The later revelation about Ridge’s biological parentage should not be brought forward into this season’s summary. The Bold and the Beautiful

Thomas Forrester	Christian and Donovan Jouvin are replaced by Logan and Skylar Hudson	March 2001, according to historical child-cast records	No child-to-adult jump
Phoebe and Steffy Forrester	Johnston/Toneman child performers are followed by Sophia and Whitney Schuring	January 2001; the Schurings’ run begins January 16 in Soap Central’s records	No child-to-adult jump

These changes are documented in the character casting histories. soap-passion.com

There is no major child-to-adult SORAS recast within this season. Jennifer Finnigan’s introduction as an older Bridget occurs in 2000, before the October start of this particular season, so it should not be counted as a Season 14 arrival under this numbering. Wikipedia

5. Births

• No surviving major-character birth is identified during this season.
• Morgan and Ridge’s unborn child: Morgan’s pregnancy ends in loss in late December 2000 / early January 2001. Sources differ over the exact episode date and terminology, so this is best recorded as a pregnancy loss rather than a surviving birth. The Bold and the Beautiful

6. New characters

Character	Introduction
Deacon Sharpe	November 1, 2000
Carmen Arena	Late 2000, in Deacon’s storyline
Jennifer Doheny	2001, among Rick’s college acquaintances
Amanda Wexler	2001, in Rick and Amber’s relationship storyline
Antonio “Tony” Dominguez	Late May / early June 2001
Sofia Alonso	2001, associated with Tony and Spectra
Massimo Marone	August 23, 2001

Deacon’s November 1 debut is supported by Soap Central; the frequently reproduced October 1 date is inconsistent with that record. soapcentral.com

Tim Reid is new to B&B, but already an established Y&R character: see the crossover section below.

7. Departures

Character	Departure or reduction in presence
Carmen Arena	January 2001 — dies after the rooftop confrontation
Kimberly Fairchild	January 2001 — leaves with her father, Adam
Morgan DeWitt	May 2001 — her principal kidnapping storyline ends
Tim Reid	May 11, 2001 — ends this crossover run
Macy Alexander	Her brief August 2001 appearance does not become a sustained return

Kimberly’s departure and Carmen’s death appear in the contemporary storyline records; Tim’s crossover dates and Macy’s brief appearance are separately documented. The Bold and the Beautiful

8. Returns

• Kristen Forrester: returns in late May / early June 2001, now played by Tracy Melchior.
• The Logan family: Beth, Stephen, Storm, Donna, Katie and Helen appear around Brooke and Thorne’s January 2001 wedding.
• Adam Alexander: returns in January 2001, taking Kimberly away.
• Caroline Spencer Forrester: Joanna Johnson makes a ghost appearance on January 5, 2001. This is not a resurrection.
• Macy Alexander: Bobbie Eakes makes a brief appearance in August 2001; Macy’s sustained return comes in 2002. The Bold and the Beautiful

9. Weddings and attempted weddings

Couple	Date or period	Outcome
Amber Moore and C.J. Garrison	November 2000	Wedding prevented by the custody crisis involving Deacon
Brooke Logan and Thorne Forrester	January 17, 2001	Married
Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes	January 2001	Renewal of vows in Saint Thomas
Rick Forrester and Amber Moore	May 2001	Remarried despite Deacon’s interference
Bridget Forrester and Deacon Sharpe	May 2001	Married in Las Vegas

Soap Central’s contemporary recap confirms January 17 as the day Brooke and Thorne are pronounced married. Exact May dates vary between the retrospective catalogue and original-broadcast records, so they are left at month level here. TheTVDB.com

10. Deaths

Character	Date or period	Circumstances
Carmen Arena	January 2001	Fatal fall during the rooftop confrontation
Ellen — Tony’s former girlfriend	Death reported in June 2001	Dies off-screen of AIDS
Morgan and Ridge’s unborn child	Late December 2000 / early January 2001	Pregnancy loss following Morgan’s fall

Steffy does not die: her apparent drowning conceals Morgan’s kidnapping. Macy’s presumed death belongs to the preceding season, and Caroline’s death occurred in 1990. The Bold and the Beautiful

11. Y&R / B&B Crossovers

Y&R characters appearing in B&B

Character	Actor	Dates	Storyline
Dr. Timothy “Tim” Reid	portrayed by Aaron Lustig	February 20–May 11, 2001	Phyllis’s former therapist becomes Morgan’s accomplice in Los Angeles, helping her conceal the kidnapping of Steffy and Taylor

This is a continuing crossover storyline, rather than a single guest appearance. Fandom

B&B characters appearing in Y&R

No crossover in this direction is documented for the Season 14 period, October 2, 2000–September 21, 2001. Deacon’s move to Y&R comes in 2009, while Little Eric’s Y&R appearance comes in 2010. Wikipedia

This guide follows the season numbering used by the show’s official streaming archive, which places Season 13 in September 1999–September 2000. Some television databases instead label April 1999–March 2000 as Season 13, so their episode lists and storylines do not match this guide. The Bold and the Beautiful

Episode count

The official archive advertises 261 episodes, beginning with episode #3135, September 20, 1999, and numbering episode #3395, September 28, 2000, as S13 E261.

There is a small inconsistency: the same archive also lists #3396, September 29, 2000, as S13 E262. Therefore, 261 is the published official count, but the catalogue’s season boundary is not entirely consistent. The Bold and the Beautiful

The principal adult cast is supported by contemporary-period episode and cast guides. Thomas’s casting history dates the Jouvin twins’ first appearance to March 10, 2000. Soapsworld.de

Other credited characters without an established surname

Character	Actor
Ash	portrayed by Jeff Van Atta
Baby Peter	portrayed by Leif Campion and Neil Campion
Suzanne, also spelled Susanne in some guides	portrayed by Tasia Valenza

These smaller roles are documented in episode credits and historical cast guides. IMDb

Infant casting note: historical lists identify Jeffrey and Jacob Wold, William and Charles Carter, Grace and Kelly deMontesquiou, and Alexis and Allyson Collins among the babies used for Phoebe and Steffy during 1999–2000. Because the roles were shared, the surviving lists do not consistently distinguish which babies played which sister in individual episodes. Fandom

Main plots

Taylor’s dangerous delivery

The season opens with Taylor critically ill during childbirth after her tuberculosis storyline. Ridge fears losing her as she delivers their twin daughters, Phoebe and Steffy. Taylor’s condition deteriorates dramatically, but she survives. Their birth establishes the next generation of Ridge and Taylor’s family. The Bold and the Beautiful

Amber’s baby deception collapses

Amber continues raising Little Eric with Rick, concealing that the boy is actually Becky’s biological son. Becky initially remains in Paris, but her longing for her child becomes unbearable. During the Venice storyline, she demands that Amber tell Rick the truth.

On January 27, 2000, Amber confesses. Rick ends their relationship, and Becky regains her son. Rick nevertheless wants to remain involved in the child’s life. soapoperadigest.com

Brooke, Thorne and Macy

Brooke and Thorne’s relationship provokes fierce opposition within the Forrester family. In Venice, Ridge and Taylor stage a situation intended to convince Thorne that Brooke still wants Ridge. The scheme succeeds in driving Thorne back toward Macy, whom he secretly remarries in Amsterdam.

The marriage cannot resolve his feelings for Brooke. Macy’s distress and renewed drinking lead toward the season’s devastating Big Bear car accident. Soapsworld.de

Stephanie’s stroke and reunion with Eric

Stephanie’s campaign against Brooke and Thorne is interrupted by a stroke and memory problems. During her hospitalization, Eric proposes, and they remarry in a bedside ceremony. Her recovery unfolds alongside the continuing conflict over Thorne’s romantic choices. Soapsworld.de

Becky and C.J.’s tragic love story

Becky and C.J. fall in love, but Becky develops terminal pancreatic cancer. Amber initially conceals the diagnosis, hoping to preserve her cousin’s happiness. C.J. eventually learns the truth and marries Becky.

After Becky’s death, Amber and C.J. grow closer while caring for Little Eric. The Forresters’ attempts to control the child’s upbringing produce a new custody conflict. The Bold and the Beautiful

Morgan DeWitt’s arrival

Morgan joins Forrester Creations and reconnects with Ridge. Their past includes a teenage pregnancy and an abortion that Stephanie pressured Morgan into having.

Determined to have another child, Morgan forges an email supposedly from Taylor approving Ridge’s involvement. She deceives Ridge into sleeping with her and becomes pregnant. Stephanie then tries to prevent the pregnancy from threatening Ridge and Taylor’s marriage. Soapsworld.de

Kimberly changes her romantic target

Following the collapse of Rick and Amber’s marriage, Rick pursues Kimberly. Their relationship encounters disagreements over intimacy and family loyalties.

After Macy’s apparent death, Kimberly becomes increasingly interested in Thorne. Bridget joins her opposition to Brooke and Thorne’s relationship, and Kimberly’s public kiss with Thorne threatens their wedding plans near the season’s end. Soapsworld.de

Recasts and SORAS

Character	Change	Date
Rick Forrester	Jacob Young is replaced by Justin Torkildsen. A recast, not a new child-to-adult SORAS.	October 19, 1999, according to the historical cast list
Thomas Forrester	Christian and Donovan Jouvin take over the toddler role.	March 10, 2000
Bridget Forrester	Jennifer Finnigan succeeds Agnes Bruckner after the character’s absence, presenting Bridget as an older teenager. The season’s significant SORAS-related change.	July 7, 2000
Phoebe and Steffy Forrester	Different infant performers share the twin roles.	Changes documented during 1999–2000; individual episode assignments remain uncertain

Finnigan’s debut and the Jouvin twins’ arrival are explicitly dated in casting histories. Bruckner’s last appearance is listed as January 4, 1999, before this season begins. Soap Opera Network Community

Births

Child	Parents	On-screen birth
Phoebe Forrester	Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes	September 21, 1999 — episode #3136
Steffy Forrester	Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes	September 21, 1999 — episode #3136

Both sisters are born during Taylor’s difficult delivery. en.wikipedia.org

Important distinction: Amber’s stillborn son and Becky’s son, later called Little Eric, were born in April 1999, before this September-based Season 13. Their births belong to the previous season, although the deception dominates this one. soapoperadigest.com

New characters

Character	Introduction
Morgan DeWitt — portrayed by Sarah Buxton	February 15, 2000
Suzanne — portrayed by Tasia Valenza	December 1999; Becky’s colleague in Paris
Ash — portrayed by Jeff Van Atta	July 2000; appears in Amber’s music-related storyline
Sherman Gale — portrayed by Michael Tylo	August 23, 2000; lawyer who approaches Amber during the custody dispute

Although Morgan returns to Los Angeles within the story, she is a newly introduced on-screen character. Giovanni is already present before the season’s September 20 opening. Fandom

Departures

Character	Departure
Raymond King	His brief Paris return ends on November 5, 1999.
Suzanne	Her short storyline concludes in January 2000.
Adam Alexander	Leaves Los Angeles in early March 2000 after danger from his past threatens his family.
Tawny Moore	Her initial run ends in June 2000; a character history lists June 9.
Becky Moore	Dies on June 23, 2000.
Macy Alexander	Written out through the July 2000 car-accident storyline; presumed dead.

Giovanni’s removal from the principal cast should not be confused with a definitive character departure: he continues making appearances after his contract stint. Soapsworld.de

Returns

• Raymond King — portrayed by Karim Prince: returns for Paris scenes from October 29 to November 5, 1999, where his conversation with Becky undermines her belief in Rick and Amber’s marriage.
• Bridget Forrester — portrayed by Jennifer Finnigan: returns to the on-screen canvas on July 7, 2000, with a new actress and an older characterization.
• Becky Moore — portrayed by Marissa Tait: returns from Paris during the January 2000 Venice storyline, then resettles in Los Angeles. This is a geographical return within her continuing storyline. Soapsworld.de

Weddings and ceremonies

Couple	Date	Outcome
Eric Forrester and Stephanie Forrester	October 28–29, 1999	Remarry in Stephanie’s hospital room.
Rick Forrester and Amber Moore	December 1999	Wedding-vow renewal storyline; their original wedding occurred before this season.
Thorne Forrester and Macy Alexander	January 2000	Secret remarriage in Amsterdam; exact ceremony date not securely verified.
C.J. Garrison and Becky Moore	June 9, 2000	Marry shortly before Becky’s death.

Stephanie also arranges a surprise wedding for Thorne and Macy in December 1999, but Thorne refuses to proceed. Brooke and Thorne do not complete their wedding during this season. The Bold and the Beautiful

Deaths

Character	Date	Circumstances
Becky Moore	June 23, 2000	Dies from terminal pancreatic cancer.
Macy Alexander	July 2000; the accident episode airs July 6	Presumed dead following the Big Bear car crash and explosion. Later storylines reveal that she survived.

Macy therefore belongs in an apparent deaths category, rather than a list of permanent deaths. soapoperadigest.com

Direction	Crossovers during this season
Y&R characters appearing in B&B	No crossover appearance verified for September 1999–September 2000.
B&B characters appearing in Y&R	No crossover appearance verified for the same period.

Two appearances frequently associated with this era fall outside the season:

• Victor Newman — portrayed by Eric Braeden: appears in B&B on January 25–28, 1999, before Season 13 begins.
• Dr. Tim Reid — portrayed by Aaron Lustig: begins appearing in B&B on February 20, 2001, during the following season. Some broad crossover summaries label his storyline “2000–2001,” but his documented on-screen debut is in 2001. en.wikipedia.org

WEEK 1 : OCTOBER 5-9, 2026 : Victor protected Nick while Nikki questioned him about the secrets he had been keeping, Lily struggled with the possibility that her cancer may be back, and Cane confronted her, knowing she was keeping a secret, while Phyllis secured a deal with Victor and later formed an unlikely pact with Sharon over Nick. Matt Clark faced a rude awakening while Audra issued an ultimatum to Adam and Billy about the wedding. And Sally celebrated her bachelorette party, which was unexpectedly crashed by her sister, Coco Spectra and then she went into false labor, while Traci broke down missing Colleen after meeting Coco.

WEEK 2 : OCTOBER 12-16, 2026 : Billy received words of wisdom from Jack as he prepared to marry Sally, while he and Cane found unexpected common ground ahead of the wedding. Nick and Sharon grew increasingly worried about Matt Clark after Detective Burrow revealed that Matt’s fingerprints had been discovered inside an abandoned vehicle. Matt later sneaked into Sharon’s home, the woman he raped, and begged her to become his therapist. Lily struggled with fears about her cancer returning and turned to Nate for support as she faced uncertainty about her health. She told Cane about it and they bonded. Victor confronted Nick over his actions and continued keeping tabs on him, while he also stayed one step ahead of Victoria, who kept bedding Kyle. Phyllis surprised Daniel with a job offer, which he accepted, and the wedding began.

WEEK 3 : OCTOBER 19-23, 2026 : Billy and Sally’s lavish Gatsby-themed wedding began with a surprise appearance by Sally’s grandmother, Shirley Spectra, bringing excitement to the celebration. After the couple married, the baby came, and Adam, of all people, helped Sally give birth to a baby girl named Ruby. While that was happening, Snapper called and told Cane and Billy that Jill had a cardiac arrest and they needed to get to London. Meanwhile, Matt Clark wanted Sharon to help him with therapy and instead, Nick announced that Matt Clark had been safely locked away at some mental health facility, but in the spoilers, he alludes that it’s not true.
And Kyle and Victoria danced at the wedding and then made plans to rendezvous in London while everyone else was going there to see Jill.

WEEK 4 : OCTOBER 26-30, 2026 : Victoria and Kyle’s secret romantic getaway in London nearly unravelled when Billy unexpectedly showed up, leaving them worried their affair would be exposed. As Billy remained by Jill’s side, her successful surgery brought relief, while Cane prepared to return to Genoa City and reunite with Lily. Sally struggled with the overwhelming emotions of new motherhood, while Adam admitted that Ruby’s birth had reopened painful memories of losing their daughter.
Meanwhile, Victor warned Phyllis against competing with Newman Enterprises, but she remained determined to build her business empire. Claire threatened to expose Audra’s secret, while Sharon and Phyllis grew suspicious of Nick’s claims about Matt Clark’s whereabouts. Nate celebrated his return to medicine and his romance with Stephanie, while Victoria and Kyle began questioning whether their risky relationship was worth continuing.

RECASTS

WEEK 1 : SEPTEMBER 7-11, 2026 : Darcy Dylan, Miss Dylan’s mother (Kelly Sullivan). She showed up and learned that Dylan’s been keeping many secrets from her, including her been homeless, living with Will, and dating him. Katie got in Dylan’s face about the secrets and vowed not to let her ruin Will’s life. Meanwhile, Carter and Steffy agreed to keep their drunken tryst a secret but then locked the door at Forrester to discuss it, prompting Daphne to find them and confront them. Nothing came of it.

WEEK 2 : SEPTEMBER 14-18, 2026 : Darcy Dylan defended Missy, with Katie and while Will stuck with dating Dylan, Katie went to Electra to ask her not to give up on Will. Meanwhile, Steffy took a pregnancy test and it confirmed she’s pregnant. She told Carter and said they couldn’t keep it a secret.

WEEK 3 : SEPTEMBER 21-25, 2026 : Carter came up with the soapiest, messiest plan to hide that he and Steffy cheated on their spouses. He wanted Steffy to fake becoming a surrogate for him and Daphne. When Steffy refused, Carter manipulated Daphne into asking Steffy to do it, knowing perfectly well she’s already pregnant with his child.

WEEK 4 : SEPTEMBER 28-OCTOBER 02, 2026 : Katie and Will had it out over Dylan again and Will felt like his mother was being just like Stephanie. Meanwhile, he and Dylan were spending a lot of nights together. Carter coerced Steffy into telling Daphne she’d consider being a surrogate for her, that she only needed to discuss it with Finn first. Once she did, Finn was against it but then soon left for a conference out of town. While that was going down, Deacon was confiding in Sheila about his marriage, something Taylor wasn’t exactly happy to hear. By the end of the week, Katie and Hope decided to try to steal Zende from Forrester.

WEEK 5: OCTOBER 05-09, 2026 : Will confided in Wyatt. Daphne was upset that she didn’t get to be there for the “transfer,” but was happy Steffy was her surrogate. Eric and Ridge supported Electra’s new line. Electra overheard Dylan trying to get Zende to leave FC for Logan and snitched on her to Eric and Ridge. Then, she told Electra that she’s going to be fired. Zende faced Eric and Ridge and talked about how they play favorites, and then quit Forrester.

WEEK 6 : OCTOBER 12-16, 2026 : Zende reconsidered his future at Forrester Creations and gave Ridge a firm ultimatum: Dylan must be allowed to stay. Ridge refused and Zende went over to Logan, to accept their offer. Brooke was livid and confronted her sister, Katie. Meanwhile, Will revealed he is in love with Dylan, and Steffy panicked when Finn announced his early return home and struggled with whether to confess the truth about what she had done.

WEEK 7 : October 19-23, 2026 : Steffy shocked Finn when she admitted she had gone ahead with the fertility procedure against his wishes, and so he did a pregnancy test and confirmed she was pregnant. Of course, we already knew. Brooke felt increasingly disconnected from Katie as their rivalry intensified, and she went to Bill to try to get him to “talk sense” into her sister. Donna questioned if she used her wiles to get him over on her side and she denied it was like that. He tried and Katie questioned him as her hostility toward Brooke grew.

WEEK 8 : October 26-30, 2026 : Dylan refused a job from Logan, knowing she wasn’t wanted there, after reading some articles Katie had written that trashed Forrester Creations. Brooke went to Bill for help in getting Katie back on her side. Katie found out her sister and Bill had been texting and that Bill texted her a stallion emoji. Wyatt met and flirted with Darcy, and Eric and Ridge worried about Forrester.

I checked this season against the restored official B&B episode archive, especially because its metadata contains another inconsistency. The chronology below uses the actual episode entries and global episode numbers, rather than simply trusting the season-page header.

Season overview

Original U.S. run: September 15, 1998 – September 15, 1999
Global episodes: #2878–#3134
Actual total: 257 episodes

TO WATCH SEASON 12 ON YOUTUBE

The official B&B page says “253 Episodes,” but the catalogue itself continues through S12E257 / Episode #3134 on September 15, 1999. Season 13 begins with #3135 on September 20, 1999. Therefore, 257 episodes is the internally consistent figure for our chronology. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Major plots

Rick and Amber: teenage marriage

Season 12 opens exactly where Season 11 left off.

September 15, 1998 — #2878: Rick proposes to Amber.

Amber is pregnant, and Rick believes the baby is his. Eric and Brooke vehemently oppose their teenage son’s plans and want the child placed for adoption. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

But Amber has a major problem:

Raymond may be the father

Amber had slept with Raymond, and she cannot be certain whether Rick or Raymond fathered her child.

C.J. knows enough about Amber’s past to become suspicious and repeatedly pressures her to tell Rick the truth.

---

Rick and Amber marry

The conflict culminates in their wedding in February 1999.

The official archive documents the build-up day by day:

February 15 — #2984: C.J. confronts Raymond about the baby’s paternity.
February 16 — #2985: Raymond arrives and raises doubts.
February 17 — #2986: Raymond admits that he could be the father.
February 18 — #2987: Rick and Amber’s wedding day begins. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Rick nevertheless marries Amber.

Rick Forrester & Amber Moore

Wedding: February 1999

Their marriage becomes one of B&B’s defining late-1990s relationships.

---

Amber’s baby dies

Amber eventually retreats to her mother Tawny Moore’s trailer in Furnace Creek as her due date approaches.

Raymond follows because the baby’s paternity remains uncertain.

The official episode archive gives us an unusually precise chronology:

April 16, 1999 — #3026: Amber goes into labor.
April 19–22 — #3027–3030: labor continues while Rick remains unaware of what is really happening.
April 23 — #3031: Amber gives birth.
April 26 — #3032: the baby is confirmed stillborn. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Eric Forrester III

Born: April 23, 1999
Confirmed stillborn: April 26, 1999

The storyline ultimately establishes that Rick was indeed the baby’s biological father. (The Bold and The Beautiful)

This makes the tragedy even more devastating: Amber’s fear that Raymond might be the father had been unnecessary.

---

The baby switch

Tawny immediately proposes an extraordinary solution.

Amber’s cousin Becky Moore has also recently given birth to a baby boy and intends to give him up for adoption.

Tawny convinces Amber to take Becky’s baby and pass him off as her own surviving child.

The official archive shows Tawny first suggesting this on:

April 28, 1999 — #3034. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Amber reluctantly agrees.

On May 3, 1999 — #3037, Amber returns to Los Angeles carrying Becky’s child and presents him to Rick as their son. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Rick believes the baby is:

Eric Forrester III.

In reality, he is Becky Moore’s biological son.

This becomes the central secret driving the next phase of the series.

---

Becky arrives in Los Angeles

Becky Moore — Marissa Tait

Becky becomes increasingly desperate to see her son.

June 29, 1999 — #3078: Becky arrives unexpectedly in Los Angeles. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Amber and Tawny desperately try to prevent her from discovering—or exposing—the truth.

Becky becomes suspicious when she sees the baby and notices identifying details.

By September, she knows what happened.

September 1–8, 1999 — #3124–3129: Becky takes the baby and confronts Amber over stealing him. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Amber eventually persuades Becky to let the child remain with Rick and Amber while Becky prepares to leave for Paris.

The secret remains intact at the end of Season 12.

---

Tawny Moore arrives

Tawny Moore — Andrea Evans

First appearance: March 29, 1999

Amber’s manipulative mother becomes a major character.

Tawny is instrumental in the baby switch and repeatedly pressures Amber to preserve the deception regardless of the consequences. Her documented first appearance is March 29, 1999. (Wikiland)

---

Kimberly Fairchild

Kimberly Fairchild — Ashley Tesoro

Kimberly becomes the wholesome alternative to Amber.

She develops strong feelings for Rick, creating:

Rick → Amber ← C.J.
and
Kimberly → Rick

Rick is attracted to Kimberly as well, complicating his commitment to Amber.

The rivalry between Amber and Kimberly becomes one of the principal teen stories of the season.

---

Macy discovers Kimberly is her sister

Kimberly believes Myles Fairchild is her father.

The truth is that “Myles” is actually:

Adam Alexander

Adam is Sally Spectra’s former lover and Macy’s biological father.

Therefore:

Macy Alexander and Kimberly Fairchild are half-sisters.

The truth comes out in early 1999, devastating Kimberly. Contemporary March 1999 recaps document Kimberly learning that Macy is her sister and reacting by disappearing. (Soap Opera Digest)

---

Grant Chambers dies

The cancer storyline that began in Season 11 reaches its tragic conclusion almost immediately.

Grant knows he is dying and encourages Macy to move on with Thorne.

Grant Chambers

Death: October 9, 1998

Cause: testicular cancer

Soap Central gives both his final appearance and death as October 9, 1998. (Soap Central)

Macy is devastated and struggles again with alcoholism after Grant’s death.

---

Thorne and Macy reunite

Grant spends his final weeks encouraging Macy to return to Thorne.

After Grant’s death, Thorne becomes Macy’s major emotional support.

Eventually they reunite and become engaged.

By June 9, 1999 — #3064, Macy and Thorne announce their engagement to both families. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

But another woman is about to complicate everything:

Brooke.

---

Brooke falls for Thorne

This is one of the most important shifts in B&B history.

For years Brooke’s great obsession had been Ridge.

During Season 12, that finally begins to change.

Brooke develops romantic feelings for Thorne.

On June 28, 1999 — #3077, Brooke explicitly confesses her feelings for him. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Thorne is still engaged to Macy, setting up the explosive:

Brooke / Thorne / Macy

triangle that will dominate Season 13.

---

Ridge, Taylor and Pierce

Pierce Peterson becomes increasingly obsessed with Taylor.

His use of hypnosis creates problems in Ridge and Taylor’s marriage.

Ridge demands that Taylor stop working with Pierce, but Taylor refuses—the conflict is already active in Season 12 Episode 1 (#2878). (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Pierce’s storyline ends on:

Pierce Peterson — Paul Satterfield

Final appearance: April 7, 1999 — #3019. (Wikiland)

Ridge and Taylor survive the threat to their marriage.

---

Taylor becomes pregnant again

Later in the season, Taylor becomes pregnant.

On June 21, 1999 — #3072, Ridge and Taylor discover they are expecting:

twins. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

The pregnancy becomes dangerous when Taylor contracts tuberculosis.

Taylor refuses treatment that she fears could harm her unborn daughters.

By September 1999 her condition is critical.

The Season 12 finale on September 15 — #3134 has Taylor preparing to deliver her twin daughters while seriously ill. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

---

Sheila’s revenge and departure

Sheila Carter begins the season as an escaped convict.

She disguises herself and infiltrates Forrester Creations to see Mary.

Then she confronts Stephanie.

October 5–6, 1998 — #2892–2893: Sheila holds Stephanie at gunpoint. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Amber intervenes to save Stephanie and is injured.

Sheila’s storyline then reaches the end of her original long B&B run.

This is an important historical transition: after having dominated B&B since 1992, Kimberlin Brown exits the regular canvas in 1998.

---

Brooke’s Bedroom

Brooke launches one of the most famous—and controversial—business ventures in B&B history:

Brooke’s Bedroom

The lingerie line causes enormous tension within the conservative Forrester family, especially with Stephanie.

The official archive places Brooke’s provocative press conference launching/promoting the line on:

December 15, 1998 — #2942. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

The line becomes a major commercial success and strengthens Brooke’s position at Forrester Creations.

---

Recasts & SORAS

Season 12 is much quieter for SORAS than Season 11.

Rick Forrester — Jacob Young remains in the role throughout the entire Season 12 run covered here. Young does not leave until September 15, 1999, meaning his final episode falls at the very end of this season’s period; Justin Torkildsen succeeds him afterward. (Kiwix)

Bridget Forrester — Agnes Bruckner remains Bridget throughout the season.

C.J. Garrison — Mick Cain remains C.J.

Thomas Forrester remains a baby/toddler and is not SORASed.

So:

Major SORAS during Season 12: none.

Rick recast transition

Jacob Young — final appearance: September 15, 1999
Justin Torkildsen — takes over in fall 1999

Because September 15 is the final Season 12 episode in the official archive chronology, I would place the actual Jacob Young → Justin Torkildsen recast in Season 13, not Season 12. (Kiwix)

---

Births

Eric Forrester III — Amber’s biological son

Born: April 23, 1999 — #3031
Stillborn/death confirmed: April 26 — #3032

Parents: Rick Forrester & Amber Moore. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Becky’s son — later known as Little Eric

Born in 1999, shortly before Amber’s delivery.

Biological mother: Becky Moore.

Amber and Tawny take the newborn and pass him off as Rick and Amber’s surviving son. (The Bold and The Beautiful)

Steffy and Phoebe Forrester

Not Season 12 births. Taylor is pregnant with them during Season 12, but their birth begins in Season 13, September 1999. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

---

Grant Chambers — Charles Grant

October 9, 1998 — death. (Soap Central)

Sheila Carter — Kimberlin Brown

1998 — end of original 1992–98 B&B run.

Pierce Peterson — Paul Satterfield

April 7, 1999 — #3019. (Wikiland)

Jacob Young as Rick Forrester

September 15, 1999 — actor departure/recast, not a character departure. (Kiwix)

Lauren Fenmore — Tracey E. Bregman

Lauren’s 1995–99 period as a full-time B&B character comes to an end around this era; she subsequently returns to Genoa City/Y&R. Her B&B regular tenure is documented as 1995–1999. (Soap Central)

---

Returning characters

There are fewer major long-term returns than introductions.

Adam Alexander is technically a character from Sally’s past rather than an on-screen return—1998 is his first actual appearance, so he belongs under New Characters, not Returns. (Soap Opera Digest)

Likewise, Tawny and Becky are newcomers rather than returning characters.

Therefore I would record:

Major established-character returns: none requiring separate classification.

---

Marriages

Rick Forrester & Amber Moore

February 1999

The wedding sequence begins on February 18, 1999 (#2987) after C.J. and Raymond raise doubts about the baby’s paternity. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

This marriage continues despite the enormous secret Amber is keeping from Rick.

Thorne & Macy

They do not marry during Season 12. They become engaged, with the engagement publicly announced on June 9, 1999 (#3064). (The Bold and the Beautiful)

---

Deaths

Grant Chambers

October 9, 1998

Cause: testicular cancer.
Grant dies while married to Macy. (Soap Central)

Amber and Rick’s biological son — Eric Forrester III

April 1999

Born on April 23 (#3031) and revealed as stillborn on April 26 (#3032). (The Bold and the Beautiful)

So for our database:

Major adult-character deaths: 1 — Grant Chambers.
Infant deaths/stillbirths: 1 — Eric Forrester III.

---

Y&R / B&B Crossovers

Season 12 is very important for the shared Y&R/B&B universe because two of Genoa City’s biggest characters actually appear.

Y&R → B&B

Jack Abbott — Peter Bergman

Jack Abbott appears on B&B in connection with the fashion-business storyline.

The official B&B archive explicitly places Jack in:

December 29, 1998 — Episode #2951

Ridge is delayed at a business meeting with Jack Abbott while Taylor waits for him at Pierce’s gala. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

This is a genuine Y&R → B&B crossover appearance.

Victor Newman — Eric Braeden

Even more significantly, Victor Newman crosses over to B&B.

The official archive records:

January 28, 1999 — Episode #2972

Ridge confronts Victor Newman over Victor having dinner with Brooke. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

So we have two confirmed Genoa City visitors:

Jack Abbott → B&B — December 29, 1998
Victor Newman → B&B — January 28, 1999

Lauren Fenmore — Tracey E. Bregman

Lauren remains a B&B regular for part of this period, although she originated on Y&R.

Her case differs from Jack and Victor: she is not simply making a guest crossover. She has been a B&B cast member since her 1995 migration from Y&R and is approaching the end of that regular run. (Soap Central)

Sheila Carter — Kimberlin Brown

Likewise, Sheila originated on Y&R but is still functioning as a B&B character at the beginning of Season 12.

Her departure in 1998 closes the original 1992–98 Sheila-on-B&B era.

---

B&B → Y&R

I have not found a comparably significant B&B-origin character appearing on Y&R during this exact Season 12 window.

Lauren’s eventual movement back toward Genoa City is best understood as the return of a Y&R-origin character, rather than a B&B → Y&R crossover.

Therefore:

Y&R → B&B: Jack Abbott, Victor Newman; plus continuing Y&R-origin characters Lauren Fenmore and Sheila Carter.
B&B → Y&R: No major B&B-origin crossover confirmed for this season.

Season 12 at a glance

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL — SEASON 12
Dates	September 15, 1998 – September 15, 1999
Episodes	257 — #2878–#3134
Major newcomers	Kimberly, Raymond, Adam, Tawny, Becky
Major SORAS	None
Major departure	Sheila Carter
Major actor departure	Jacob Young as Rick — Sept. 15, 1999
Major death	Grant Chambers — Oct. 9, 1998
Major infant death	Amber & Rick’s son — April 1999
Major marriage	Rick & Amber — February 1999
Major pregnancy	Taylor — twins Phoebe & Steffy
Major baby storyline	Amber’s stillbirth and the Becky baby switch
Major romance shift	Brooke falls for Thorne
Y&R guest characters	Jack Abbott, Victor Newman
Season-ending cliffhanger	Taylor critically ill and preparing to deliver her twins

One point I would now lock firmly into our chronology is the boundary between Seasons 12 and 13: Steffy and Phoebe should not be listed as Season 12 births. Season 12 ends with Taylor preparing to deliver; Season 13 opens on September 20, 1999 with the delivery of the twins. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Season overview

SEASON 11 — August 8, 1997 – August 5, 1998 — 254 episodes (#2624–#2877)

There is a small but important anomaly in the official B&B archive: the Season 11 page says “253 Episodes,” but it actually contains an S11 E254, Episode #2877. Season 12 then begins with #2878, so the continuous range #2624–#2877 contains 254 episodes. For our chronology, I would therefore record 254 episodes, while noting that the site’s header incorrectly says 253. (Les Bold et Belle)

---

Official / period cast photo

I have not found a CBS image specifically catalogued as “Official Season 11 Cast Photo.” There are 1997–98 promotional ensemble photographs, but rather than falsely identify one as the official Season 11 portrait, I would label these period cast/promotional photographs.

Major plots

Taylor’s pregnancy secret: Ridge is Thomas’s father

The season’s defining story begins with Taylor pregnant and allowing everyone—including Thorne—to believe Thorne is the father.

The truth is that:

Ridge Forrester is the biological father.

Taylor had found Ridge in Brooke’s bed and, believing Ridge had chosen Brooke, concealed the truth.

Thorne agrees to protect Taylor and pose as the baby’s father.

Ridge consequently moves forward with Brooke.

---

Ridge and Brooke finally marry

Brooke finally gets what she has wanted for years: another marriage to Ridge.

Taylor desperately wants to reveal the truth before the ceremony but cannot bring herself to destroy Ridge and Brooke’s happiness.

Ridge and Brooke marry and travel to Italy for their honeymoon. The official archive places their Italian honeymoon in December 1997. (Les Bold et Belle)

But Taylor’s secret is about to make the marriage extremely short-lived.

---

Thomas Forrester is born

Taylor goes into labor while Brooke and Ridge are away.

Thomas Hamilton Forrester

Born: December 1997

Mother: Taylor Hayes
Biological father: Ridge Forrester

The official archive shows Taylor giving birth during the December 1997 sequence and immediately centers the next episodes on the question of Thomas’s paternity. (Les Bold et Belle)

Taylor continues to conceal the truth for a short period after the birth.

Eventually Ridge discovers:

Thomas is his son.

On February 12, 1998 (#2755) Ridge is forced to choose between Brooke, his wife, and Taylor, the mother of his newborn son; on February 13 (#2756) he meets and bonds with Thomas. (Les Bold et Belle)

---

Ridge leaves Brooke for Taylor

The Thomas revelation destroys Ridge and Brooke’s marriage.

Ridge is furious that the truth was concealed from him, but the discovery also reawakens his feelings for Taylor.

He decides that he wants to raise Thomas with his mother.

Brooke desperately tries to preserve her marriage.

Stephanie, unsurprisingly, supports Ridge and Taylor and pressures Brooke to accept an annulment. On March 2–3, 1998 (#2767–2768) Stephanie explicitly pressures Brooke to sign the annulment papers. (Les Bold et Belle)

---

Ridge and Taylor reunite and marry

Ridge and Taylor reunite as a family with Thomas.

Their reunion culminates in:

Ridge Forrester & Taylor Hayes

Marriage: 1998

They marry during the latter half of Season 11.

By June 3, 1998 (#2832), the official episode archive explicitly describes Ridge and Taylor returning from their honeymoon. (Les Bold et Belle)

This is therefore one of the season’s major completed marriages.

---

Rick and Bridget are SORASed

This is one of the most important recast moments in B&B history because both of Brooke and Eric’s children are rapidly aged at essentially the same time.

Rick Forrester

Steven Hartman → Jacob Young

Steven Hartman’s final appearance: December 19, 1997
Jacob Young’s first appearance: December 31, 1997

Jacob Young becomes the first adult/young-adult Rick, marking a clear SORAS transition. A contemporary chronology specifically identifies December 31, 1997 as Young’s debut. (Twittami Beautiful)

SORAS: YES.

Rick suddenly becomes old enough to drive, date and carry his own adult romantic storyline.

---

Bridget Forrester

Landry Allbright → Agnes Bruckner

Landry Allbright → Agnes Bruckner: December 31, 1997

Like Rick, Bridget is aged substantially.

SORAS: YES.

The simultaneous aging effectively launches a new generation of Forrester/Logan children into the teenage canvas.

---

C.J. Garrison

Kyle Sabihy → Mick Cain

C.J. is also recast around this period:

Kyle Sabihy → Mick Cain — late 1997

Unlike Rick and Bridget, C.J.’s transition is somewhat less dramatic because the character had already been portrayed as an older child/young teen, but Mick Cain’s casting clearly ages C.J. into the teenage storyline.

So for our chronology I would classify it as:

Recast + SORAS/age progression.

This is important because C.J. will now become deeply involved with Rick and Amber.

---

Amber, Rick and C.J.

Amber Moore moves from supporting troublemaker into one of the show’s central younger characters.

After Rick’s SORAS, Amber becomes involved with him.

C.J. is also attracted to Amber, creating the new-generation triangle:

Rick → Amber ← C.J.

Amber’s relationship with Rick is strongly opposed by Brooke and Eric, who believe she is using him.

---

Rick’s drag-racing accident

Amber encourages Rick and C.J. to drag race on Mulholland Drive.

The consequences are catastrophic.

On February 13, 1998 (#2756) the race takes place; by February 16 (#2757) Rick is critically injured, and on February 17 (#2758) he is fighting for his life. (Les Bold et Belle)

Rick needs a kidney transplant.

The surprising donor is:

Amber Moore.

On February 24, 1998 (#2763) Rick receives Amber’s kidney. (Les Bold et Belle)

The transplant creates a powerful bond between them and makes it much harder for Brooke to dismiss Amber as simply a gold digger.

---

Amber becomes pregnant

Later in Season 11, Amber discovers she is pregnant.

She claims that:

Rick is the father.

The pregnancy immediately becomes a major issue because Rick is still extremely young.

Brooke and Eric oppose the relationship and eventually want the baby placed for adoption.

By the final episodes of the season, Amber’s pregnancy is one of the main stories: #2874–2877 revolve around Rick, Amber and his parents debating what should happen to the unborn child. (Les Bold et Belle)

The season ends with:

Rick asking Amber to marry him.

The actual wedding belongs to Season 12, not Season 11.

---

Grant and Macy

Grant Chambers becomes increasingly close to Macy.

Macy finally finds happiness after years of turmoil with Thorne.

They decide to marry.

Grant Chambers & Macy Alexander

Wedding: February 27, 1998 — Episode #2766

The official archive is unusually precise here:

February 26 — #2765: preparations for the surprise wedding.
February 27 — #2766: Grant and Macy marry at Insomnia Café. (Les Bold et Belle)

Thorne arrives hoping to reconcile with Macy—but he is too late.

---

Grant’s health crisis

Grant and Macy want a family.

They undergo fertility testing.

In June 1998, Grant receives devastating medical news. The official archive shows the fertility storyline escalating on June 3–15, 1998. (Les Bold et Belle)

This becomes the beginning of the storyline that will reveal Grant is seriously ill.

However:

Grant does NOT die in Season 11.

His cancer and death occur during Season 12, so he must remain in the Season 11 cast and should not appear in this season’s death section. His character biography records his death in 1998 and final appearance on October 9, 1998. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

---

Sheila, James, Maggie and baby Mary

Sheila continues fighting James and Maggie for her daughter.

She eventually regains custody of Mary.

The official archive shows Sheila legally reclaiming her baby in August 1997, followed by the struggle between Sheila and James over the child. (Les Bold et Belle)

James believes Sheila remains dangerous and attempts to prove she is an unfit mother.

The situation ultimately produces an extraordinary development:

James Warwick & Sheila Carter marry

1997

James marries Sheila largely because of Mary and his attempts to stabilize Sheila’s life.

Their marriage lasts into 1998. Character records consistently list:

James & Maggie: 1996–1997
James & Sheila: 1997–1998. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

---

Maggie leaves

Maggie’s marriage to James collapses amid the Sheila/Mary situation.

Maggie Forrester — Barbara Crampton

Departure: spring 1998

There is a discrepancy between surviving sources over the precise last airdate: one character archive gives May 15, 1998, while another historical cast index gives April 14, 1998 (#2774). (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Because those records conflict, I would currently record:

Maggie Forrester — departure: 1998 (exact final airdate disputed).

---

Sheila threatens Stephanie and Thomas

Sheila’s behavior deteriorates again.

Her hostility toward Stephanie becomes increasingly dangerous, and she eventually threatens baby Thomas.

By June 1998, Stephanie fears Thomas is in danger. On June 11 (#2838) she reveals Sheila’s threat against the baby. (Les Bold et Belle)

James seeks sole custody of Mary.

Sheila faces another parole/legal crisis and is imprisoned.

---

Sheila escapes from prison

Near the end of Season 11, Sheila devises another spectacular escape.

She switches places with fellow inmate Cybil Weller.

The official archive places the escape sequence on:

July 29, 1998 — #2872: Sheila arranges the switch.
July 30, 1998 — #2873: Sheila escapes and changes her appearance. (Les Bold et Belle)

This sets up her revenge storyline for Season 12.

---

Pierce Peterson arrives

Dr. Pierce Peterson — Paul Satterfield

First appearance: July 8, 1998

Pierce is a psychiatrist and specialist in hypnosis who becomes professionally involved with Taylor.

He is attracted to her, immediately creating a potential threat to the newly reunited Ridge/Taylor marriage. His documented run begins July 8, 1998. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Pierce’s hypnosis storyline begins during the final weeks of Season 11 and carries directly into Season 12.

---

Recasts & SORAS

Character	From	To	Date	Type
Rick Forrester	Steven Hartman	Jacob Young	Dec. 31, 1997	Major SORAS
Bridget Forrester	Landry Allbright	Agnes Bruckner	Dec. 31, 1997	Major SORAS
C.J. Garrison	Kyle Sabihy	Mick Cain	late 1997	Recast / age progression

This is therefore a particularly important SORAS season: Rick, Bridget and C.J. are transformed almost simultaneously into the teenage generation that will dominate many of the late-1990s stories.

---

Births

Thomas Forrester

December 1997

Parents: Taylor Hayes & Ridge Forrester.

The official archive confirms Taylor’s delivery in the December 1997 sequence and Thomas is explicitly described as Ridge’s newborn son by February 1998. (Les Bold et Belle)

Amber’s unborn child

Amber becomes pregnant during Season 11, but does not give birth during this season.

So:

Major on-screen births: 1 — Thomas Forrester.

---

New characters

Character	Actor	First appearance
Thomas Forrester	infant performers	December 1997 — born on screen
Pierce Peterson	Paul Satterfield	July 8, 1998
Bailey	supporting performer	1998
Cybil Weller	supporting performer	July 1998

Pierce is by far the most important new adult character introduced during this season. His documented first appearance is July 8, 1998. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

---

Character departures

Maggie Forrester — Barbara Crampton: leaves in 1998, with surviving sources conflicting between April and May for her exact final appearance. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Steven Hartman — Rick Forrester: final appearance December 19, 1997; role recast.

Landry Allbright — Bridget Forrester: leaves the role in December 1997; role recast.

Kyle Sabihy — C.J. Garrison: leaves the role in late 1997; role recast.

These last three are actor departures, not character departures.

---

Returning characters

Season 11 relies more heavily on continuing characters and recasts than on major long-absent returns.

Lauren Fenmore remains active rather than “returning”: she has been part of the B&B canvas continuously since her 1995 migration from Y&R.

Likewise Sheila Carter remains a continuing character throughout the season.

I therefore would not artificially list either Lauren or Sheila as a Season 11 return.

---

Marriages

James Warwick & Sheila Carter

1997

Their marriage follows James’s breakup/divorce from Maggie and is centered on their daughter Mary. Sources consistently place the marriage in 1997–98. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

Ridge Forrester & Brooke Logan

1997/98 season

Ridge and Brooke marry, then honeymoon in Italy. Their marriage rapidly disintegrates after Ridge discovers Thomas is his son. (Les Bold et Belle)

Grant Chambers & Macy Alexander

February 27, 1998 — #2766

Confirmed exact date. They marry at Insomnia Café. (Les Bold et Belle)

Ridge Forrester & Taylor Hayes

1998

After Ridge leaves Brooke and reunites with Taylor, they marry. By June 3 they are returning from their honeymoon. (Les Bold et Belle)

So Season 11 is unusually wedding-heavy:

James + Sheila
Ridge + Brooke
Grant + Macy
Ridge + Taylor

---

Deaths

No major regular-character death

Major deaths: 0.

This is worth emphasizing because Grant’s illness begins during this season, but Grant Chambers survives Season 11.

His death from cancer occurs in Season 12, with his final appearance recorded in October 1998. (The Bold and the Beautiful)

---

Y&R / B&B Crossovers

Y&R → B&B

Lauren Fenmore — Tracey E. Bregman

Lauren remains a B&B regular during Season 11.

She is originally a Y&R character, introduced in Genoa City in 1983, but by this period she is firmly embedded in Los Angeles.

During Season 11, her stories remain tied to Eric, Stephanie and especially Sheila.

Sheila Carter — Kimberlin Brown

Sheila is another Y&R-origin character who is now a major B&B regular.

Season 11 is particularly important for her because the story involving James, Mary, Stephanie and her eventual prison escape is entirely B&B-based.

Mary Warwick

Mary herself is not technically a crossover character—she was born on B&B—but because she is Sheila Carter’s daughter, she extends the Carter family created on Y&R into the B&B universe.

---

B&B → Y&R

I have not found a major B&B regular making a substantive Y&R crossover appearance during this precise Season 11 period comparable to the earlier Eric Forrester appearances.

James Warwick’s documented Y&R guest appearances occurred earlier, on February 24 and April 7, 1995, so they should not be counted here. (WikiZero)

Therefore:

Y&R → B&B: Lauren Fenmore, Sheila Carter
B&B → Y&R: No major confirmed crossover during Season 11

---

Season 11 at a glance

• Episode-count note: B&B’s own Season 11 page currently says 253 episodes, but the catalogue contains S11E254 (#2877), and Season 12 begins with #2878. For a precise historical database, I would therefore enter 254 and flag the official site’s “253” header as an internal metadata error. (Les Bold et Belle)
