This guide follows the official retrospective season numbering used by the show’s own YouTube channel. Some episode databases use an anniversary-based system beginning in March, which produces a different “Season 14.”
One additional complication: the official streaming catalogue contains inconsistent air dates for some episodes. Where sources disagree, I give the month or period rather than an unreliable exact date.

The adult cast is supported by the historical cast lists and character records. Jennifer Doheny and Amanda Wexler are also documented in individual episode credits; Amanda is listed separately below because her surname places her near the end of the alphabet. Wikipedia
- Amanda Wexler portrayed by Vanessa Minnillo, now known as Vanessa Lachey. imdb.com
Children’s casting note: contemporary records group several sets of twins together for Phoebe and Steffy rather than consistently separating their individual assignments. Little Eric remains played by the Wirta twins during this season; Connor Carmody takes over later. Fandom
3. Main plots
Morgan’s obsession with Ridge becomes a kidnapping nightmare
Morgan’s pregnancy and her deception of Ridge threaten his marriage to Taylor. Ridge finally admits that he slept with Morgan and fathered her baby. After Morgan loses the child following a fall at Taylor’s house, her resentment intensifies. The Bold and the Beautiful
Ridge and Taylor reconcile and renew their vows in Saint Thomas. Their subsequent family holiday ends in tragedy when Steffy disappears during a boating incident. The family believes she has died, but Morgan has kidnapped her. Taylor eventually discovers the truth and becomes Morgan’s prisoner herself. Morgan’s accomplice, Tim Reid, helps maintain the deception. The storyline culminates in the rescue of Taylor and Steffy and further confrontations involving Morgan and Stephanie. The Bold and the Beautiful
Deacon turns Little Eric’s custody dispute into a struggle for Amber
Following Becky’s death in the preceding season, Amber, Rick and C.J. remain emotionally invested in Little Eric’s future. Rick’s efforts to secure the child bring his biological father, Deacon Sharpe, into their lives.
Deacon initially treats custody as an opportunity for money and power, then becomes increasingly attached to both his son and Amber. His presence destroys Amber and C.J.’s wedding plans and complicates her reunion with Rick. Carmen, Deacon’s girlfriend, becomes dangerously jealous; a rooftop confrontation involving Amber and Little Eric ends in Carmen’s death. The Bold and the Beautiful
Bridget becomes the victim of Deacon’s revenge
Rick and Amber proceed with their remarriage despite Deacon’s interference. Deacon arrives at their wedding with Bridget, using her attraction to him as leverage against the family. He subsequently marries Bridget in Las Vegas.
Bridget later overhears him admitting that their marriage was part of his scheme to obtain Amber. Devastated, she has a serious car accident. Deacon then claims that his feelings for her have become real, while his attraction to Amber continues to undermine both marriages. The Bold and the Beautiful
Brooke marries Thorne, but Ridge remains between them
Brooke and Thorne overcome family objections and marry. Stephanie finally attends, providing a temporary reconciliation between the Forresters and Logans. Sally, still mourning Macy, sees the wedding as a betrayal of her daughter.
The marriage subsequently deteriorates because Brooke’s attachment to Ridge has never disappeared. Thorne faces the painful realization that marrying Brooke has not made him her first choice. soapcentral.com
Kristen returns and falls in love with Tony
Kristen returns to Los Angeles and becomes involved with Antonio Dominguez, a talented designer recruited by Spectra. Professional rivalry gives way to a romance.
Tony learns that his former girlfriend Ellen has died of AIDS, prompting concern about his own HIV status. His diagnosis becomes central to the relationship: he fears for Kristen’s future and initially tries to distance himself from her. Their story explores love, disclosure and fear surrounding HIV.
Massimo introduces a new threat to the Forrester family
Massimo Marone arrives late in the season. His history with Stephanie and his hostility toward Brooke create a new source of conflict. He becomes involved in a scheme concerning Stephen Logan’s supposed terminal illness, intended to persuade Brooke to leave Los Angeles for Paris. The later revelation about Ridge’s biological parentage should not be brought forward into this season’s summary. The Bold and the Beautiful
4. Recasts and SORAS
| Character | Change | Date or period | SORAS? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kristen Forrester | Tracy Melchior takes over the role previously played by Teri Ann Linn | 2001, during Kristen’s late-May/early-June return | No — adult-to-adult recast |
| Thomas Forrester | Christian and Donovan Jouvin are replaced by Logan and Skylar Hudson | March 2001, according to historical child-cast records | No child-to-adult jump |
| Phoebe and Steffy Forrester | Johnston/Toneman child performers are followed by Sophia and Whitney Schuring | January 2001; the Schurings’ run begins January 16 in Soap Central’s records | No child-to-adult jump |
These changes are documented in the character casting histories. soap-passion.com
There is no major child-to-adult SORAS recast within this season. Jennifer Finnigan’s introduction as an older Bridget occurs in 2000, before the October start of this particular season, so it should not be counted as a Season 14 arrival under this numbering. Wikipedia
5. Births
- No surviving major-character birth is identified during this season.
- Morgan and Ridge’s unborn child: Morgan’s pregnancy ends in loss in late December 2000 / early January 2001. Sources differ over the exact episode date and terminology, so this is best recorded as a pregnancy loss rather than a surviving birth. The Bold and the Beautiful
6. New characters

| Antonio “Tony” Dominguez | Late May / early June 2001 |
| Sofia Alonso | 2001, associated with Tony and Spectra |
| Massimo Marone | August 23, 2001 |
Deacon’s November 1 debut is supported by Soap Central; the frequently reproduced October 1 date is inconsistent with that record. soapcentral.com
Tim Reid is new to B&B, but already an established Y&R character: see the crossover section below.

10. Deaths
| Character | Date or period | Circumstances |
|---|---|---|
| Carmen Arena | January 2001 | Fatal fall during the rooftop confrontation |
| Ellen — Tony’s former girlfriend | Death reported in June 2001 | Dies off-screen of AIDS |
| Morgan and Ridge’s unborn child | Late December 2000 / early January 2001 | Pregnancy loss following Morgan’s fall |
Steffy does not die: her apparent drowning conceals Morgan’s kidnapping. Macy’s presumed death belongs to the preceding season, and Caroline’s death occurred in 1990. The Bold and the Beautiful
11. Y&R / B&B Crossovers
Y&R characters appearing in B&B
| Character | Actor | Dates | Storyline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dr. Timothy “Tim” Reid | portrayed by Aaron Lustig | February 20–May 11, 2001 | Phyllis’s former therapist becomes Morgan’s accomplice in Los Angeles, helping her conceal the kidnapping of Steffy and Taylor |
This is a continuing crossover storyline, rather than a single guest appearance. Fandom
B&B characters appearing in Y&R
No crossover in this direction is documented for the Season 14 period, October 2, 2000–September 21, 2001. Deacon’s move to Y&R comes in 2009, while Little Eric’s Y&R appearance comes in 2010. Wikipedia
