The official archive advertises 261 episodes, beginning with episode #3135, September 20, 1999, and numbering episode #3395, September 28, 2000, as S13 E261.

The season opens with Taylor critically ill during childbirth after her tuberculosis storyline. Ridge fears losing her as she delivers their twin daughters, Phoebe and Steffy.
