LaToya’s 6th studio album titled “Bad Girl” is released by Sherman Records. The album is released as many titles “He’s My Brother”, “Sexual Feeling”, “Playboy (Be My)”, “Why Don’t You Want My Love?” and “Be My Lover”.

LaToya moves to London with Jack Gordon and announces her upcoming memoirs. She stops speaking with the family.

January : While rehearsing for her first tour in a studio of Los Angeles , Janet gets a surprise visit from comedian Arsenio Hall who is recording his TV Show in another studio and she accepts to do the Miss You Much chair routine for his audience!

Michael is presented with the MTV’s Video Vanguard Artist Of The Decade.

January 26 : Michael is at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the unveiling of a painting of himself titled The Book made by Australian artist Brett Livingstone Strong.

February : Janet goes to Pensacola (Florida) for the final rehearsal of her upcoming tour. Rene & Katherine come along.

February 3 : Michael receives a Role Model Award from Japon which he accepts via satellite.

February 4 : ABC airs the Tribute to Sammy Davis Jr’s 60th year in Show Business.

February 20 : Michael attends a sit-down breakfast at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel organised by CBS Records to celebrate Michael as the Top Selling Artist Of the 8O’s.March 2O: Adrian Grant (the editor of fanzine Off The Wall) presents Michael with a painting at a recording studio in Los Angeles where Michael is working on new songs.

February 21 : Janet wins her first Grammy Award but does not attend the ceremony because she is rehearsing for her tour in Pensacola.

February 27 : Janet surprises the people of Pensacola with a concert that was announced only one day ahead of time. The $10 tickets, limited to a four per person, didn’t go on sale until the morning of the concert. All 7,600 tickets were sold within three hours. Another 1,000 tickets were given to local charities.

Wade Robson and his family visit Michael at the “Record at One” Recording studios in L.A. LONDON — LaToya Jackson, sister of pop superstar Michael Jackson, was beaten by a gang armed with metal pipes who broke into her Rome hotel suite, her manager said today.
Jackson, 31, was badly bruised in the attack and is resting at her London home, where she returned after the incident, said her manager, Jack Gordon.

Gordon said by telephone from the star’s apartment he believed the attackers had been trying to abduct her.
