April 15 : After 5 months of silence, Janet shares her very first picture with Eissa on her website and social medias (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook & Tumblr). The same day, Eissa is spotted in London with his dad Wissam.

May 1 : Speaking to her fans in a video shared on her website, Janet noted that her son is “so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby.” She also briefly addressed her separation from Wissam Al Mana, saying, “We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands.” As for the big announcement about her tour, which had been hyped by a countdown on her website, Jackson said she has changed its name to the State of the World tour and it will resume Sept. 7 at the Cajundome in Lafayette. “It’s not about politics, it’s about people, the world, relationships and just love,” she said.

September 06 : Janet makes a video statement to confirm the concert in Houston will take place despite the hurricane.

Postponement
In December 2015, Jackson announced that the upcoming second North American leg of the tour that was set to start in January 2016 would be postponed due to needing surgery. All dates were rescheduled except for one date in Lexington, Kentucky, as the venue would go through renovations.

In March 2016, the European leg of the tour was postponed. On April 6, 2016, Jackson announced that due to family planning, she is postponing all remaining dates of the tour. She stated: “Please, if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.” According to concert promoter Live Nation, the tour will resume in 2017 and tickets will be honored with rescheduled dates; refunds will also be available.

November 22, 2009 :  Live from the Nokia Theatre, Janet opens the American Music Awards ceremony with a 8 minutes medley of “Control”, “What Have You Done For Me Lately”, “Miss You Much”, “If”, “Make Me” and “Together Again”.

June 13, 2009 : Janet & Gil attend Prince Azim of Brunei’s birthday party at Stapleford Park in Leicestershire with many stars (Mariah Carey, Joan Collins etc.).

June 28, 2009 : Janet makes a surprise appearance at the BET Awards where she gives a short speech on behalf of the Jackson family thanking everyone for their support following the death of her brother Michael. The previously scheduled awards show ends up turning into a tribute to the King of Pop, who is honored throughout the entire night.

July 07, 2009 : The whole Jackson family and friends attend a private memorial early in the morning at Forest Lawn cemetary. Then they go to the public memorial at the Staples Center in downtown L.A. The tribute show is aired live all around the world. At the end, the Jackson family and all the artist perform “We Are The World” and “Heal The World” with Prince, Paris and Blanket. Paris ends the tribute with a moving speech calling Michael “the best daddy you could ever imagine” before breaking in Janet’s arms. Following the memorial at Staples, the family has a lunch reception at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel ballroom with a couple hundred of their nearest and dearest friends.
