Janet Speaks About Abusive Relationship In New Style Magazine Interview

In Style.jpeg

September 5, 2018

Janet appears on the cover of In Style’s October issue with an exclusive interview and new photoshoot.

In the interview Janet speaks for the first time of the abuse she went through in her last marriage :

LB: Where do you want to be when you’re 80?

JJ: I’d love to be a grandma. I’d love to, hopefully, still inspire people with my work, whatever it is. And more than anything, I know I’m going to be helping people and inspire others to do the same. I feel that is what I was put on this earth to do. I want to help women who are abused and suffering from being in relationships where men have them gagged, have their hands tied. No woman should go through that.

LB: No, of course not.

JJ: It’s enough that we’ve gone through that. We need to recognize those problems, what makes that happen, and reverse it. We need to be able to recognize those things before getting into a relationship. Even within yourself, what is it about you that is attracted to that? I stand on that side of the fence, you know. There’s a lot of work I have to do for myself. Enough of anyone trying to manipulate me. You don’t even deserve to be in my presence. I’m allowing you to [be here].

Prince & Paris Jackson Celebrate Michael Jackson’s Life On His 60th Birthday

August 30, 2018

Michael Jackson will forever be remembered as one of the century’s greatest entertainers, and in honor of what would have been his 60th birthday, the King of Pop’s family, friends and big-name fans came together for a celebration of his life and legacy.

The Michael Jackson Diamond Celebration, held at Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas, featured a special performance of Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ‘One’ show, where the singer was honored with the 2018 Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation Legacy Award for Humanitarian Service. Two of the singer’s children, Paris and Prince Michael, accepted the posthumous award on his behalf.

“Being here today is definitely an awe-inspiring feeling, because our father was the King of Pop and he did so much,” Prince said, with his sister by his side. “He did so much for the music industry, but I think he put emphasis and importance on the charitable contributions to humanity that he really used his platform to [support].”

The icon’s 21-year-old progeny added that, for his father, receiving the Legacy Award, which recognizes the singer’s philanthropic efforts, “Would make him prouder, I assume, than the musical accomplishments that he has been able to [achieve].”

It’s been just over nine years since the “Thriller” artist died at his mansion in Los Angeles, and for his kids, the loss was something they’ve endured together. As Paris explained to ET, they remember and respect their father in a way that means something special to them, and in a way that can really only be appreciated by one another.

“We honor him in our own way, and I don’t really expect anyone else to understand besides this dude right here,” Paris said of her brother. “I’m just happy to be with him.”

Among the many other celebs who came out to pay tribute to the late, great megastar were his brothers, Tito and Jackie Jackson, nephew Austin Brown along with Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson, Vanessa Hudgens, Usher, Gabrielle Union, and Mark Ronson.

Janet Jackson Recreates The “Remember The Time” Video In Honor Of #MichaelJackson’s 60th Birthday

Making Of.jpg

August 29, 2018 :

Take a peek behind the scenes of social media star BlameItOnKway’s  collaboration with Janet Jackson in this NYLON exclusive.

Shot only a week ago at iconic Studio 60 (frequented by the likes of Kanye, Wiz Khalifa, The Weeknd, Kylie Jenner, and more), the video aesthetically continues Jackson’s recent “Made For Now” video, with the queen at her rightful throne, as King Bach and Kway dance for her approval.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of the Jacksons,” Kway explained. “Never in a million years would I ever imagine doing a video with such an icon like Janet! I took inspiration from her brother Micheal Jackson’s ‘Remember The Time’ video shoot, and she was excited to do a slight recreation! Love that I am carrying his spirit through social media with someone as close as his sister Janet Jackson the queen.”

The video, directed by Diamond Batiste alongside cinematographer Michel Martins, came together in an instant once the green light was given: “Literally we shot the next day,” explained Kway’s representative Derrian Perry. Kway has the official seal of approval from Miss Jackson herself, as she found him quite funny, and urged him to direct his own films someday.
