2. Characters and actors, alphabetically by surname
The list includes the principal cast, recurring characters, children and significant named guests. I cannot certify it as an exhaustive list of every credited day player or flashback performer: the accessible historical cast records are incomplete, and several websites incorrectly mix the season’s cast with later performers.
Characters are listed under the surnames they generally used during this season. For example, Devon appears under Hamilton, and Lily under Ashby.

3. Main storylines
The J.T. cover-up finally unravels
Nikki, Victoria, Sharon and Phyllis remain bound together by their concealment of J.T.’s apparent death. Rey’s investigation, anonymous threats and Tessa’s blackmail increase the pressure. Mariah discovers Tessa’s involvement, putting their relationship under considerable strain.
Phyllis eventually obtains immunity by cooperating with the prosecution. Nikki, Victoria and Sharon are convicted, but the case collapses when J.T. is revealed to be alive. He confronts the women at the cabin in March 2019. A subsequent diagnosis identifies a brain tumour that helps explain his altered behaviour. Soap Opera Spy

Sharon discovers that Nick slept with Phyllis and refuses to marry him. Nick and Phyllis subsequently resume their relationship, while Sharon grows closer to Rey.
Rey’s estranged wife, Mia, arrives and complicates their attraction. Later, Sharon’s continuing emotional connection to Adam becomes a major obstacle to her relationship with Rey. monstersandcritics.com
Ashley’s revenge and the battle for Jabot
Jack’s search for his biological father ends with the revelation that Ashley manipulated his DNA results: John Abbott really is his father. Ashley’s actions stem from her resentment over Jack’s treatment of her and his insistence on biological Abbott status at Jabot.
Billy’s gambling relapse also undermines his leadership. Ashley leaves for Paris with her patents, while Phyllis takes control of Jabot. Kerry Johnson becomes the company’s chemist and Jack’s romantic partner, before being exposed as Dominique Carroll, secretly working with Ashley. The resulting business crisis intensifies the Abbott family feud. inquisitr.com
Kyle, Lola and Summer: romance, a transplant and two weddings
Kyle falls in love with Lola, whose ambitions as a chef contrast with his privileged background. Summer remains determined to win him.
After Mia attacks Lola, mistaking her for Abby, Lola requires a liver transplant. Summer is a compatible donor, and Kyle agrees to marry her as part of an arrangement intended to save Lola. The marriage soon fails because he remains in love with Lola.
Kyle and Lola eventually marry in August. Theo Vanderway brings trouble from Kyle’s New York past, including his connection to Zoe Hardisty. Soap Opera Spy
The Rosales family’s secrets
Mia’s affair with Arturo destroys both her marriage to Rey and Arturo’s engagement to Abby. A paternity test establishes that Arturo is the father of Mia’s baby, and the couple leave for Miami.
Celeste later arrives to become involved in Lola’s wedding preparations. Adrian, the siblings’ estranged father, makes an unwelcome appearance at the wedding. Soap Opera Spy
Devon’s grief and the death of Neil
Devon struggles with the loss of Hilary and their unborn child, while Lily serves a prison sentence for the accident that caused their deaths. The consequences fracture the Winters–Ashby family and contribute to Lily and Cane’s separation.
Ana returns and becomes involved in Devon’s music business. Her efforts to help her father, Jett Slade, introduce Devon to Elena Dawson, with whom he begins a relationship.
The family suffers another devastating loss when Neil dies unexpectedly. His funeral brings Malcolm, Sofia, Moses and other loved ones back to Genoa City. Originals for Paramount+
Adam returns from the dead
Victor discovers that Adam survived the explosion and is living in Las Vegas under the name Spider, apparently suffering from amnesia. Sharon helps reconnect him with his former life.
Once back in Genoa City, Adam reignites his conflicts with Nick and Victoria, seeks custody of Christian and tries to recover his relationship with Chelsea and Connor. His return also brings Kevin and Chloe back into the story.

4. Births
No major on-screen birth occurs during Season 46.
The significant pregnancy storyline concerns Mia Rosales. Arturo is confirmed as the father in May 2019, and they leave Genoa City before the baby’s birth. Their son, Mateo, should therefore not be listed as an on-screen birth during this season. Soap Opera Spy
