June 07 : Trial Date Moves to 2028… What’s Another Couple of Years? : “According to the latest case status report filed by both parties, the mutually proposed trial date has now been pushed back yet again, this time to February 14, 2028. James Safechuck is scheduled to be deposed on June 18, while another witness considered critical to the case may not be available until September 2026 due to health issues. The Discovery Referee is also expected to participate in certain depositions but has limited availability. Meanwhile, attorney Vince Finaldi’s law partner, John Carpenter, reportedly has scheduling conflicts through June because of other trial commitments.”
October 05 : “Wade & James Case Status—Fall 2026 Edition This month, MJ’s side plans to depose Stephanie Safechuck on two dates. This follows James’s on 9/14 and Adrian McManus’s on 9/17. Chabre (CEO MJJ Enterprises ’92-96) TBD. The status conference has been delayed until October 16th. Importantly, both sides have noted the single appointed discovery referee has had limited availability to address disputes, causing “substantial delay” in completing that process.
