August 27 , 1974: The Jackson 5 perform “It’s Too Late To Change the World” and “Dancing Machine” on the Merv Griffin Show. Janet makes her TV debut and performs with Randy a Sonny & Cher skit (taped earlier in Los Angeles).
August 30 : Cheryl Terrel, Joe’s lover, gives birth to a baby girl named Joh’ Vonnie.

November 24 : Jackie gets married to Enid Spann in Las Vegas. Soon after he leaves Hayvenhurst to move in hIs own place with Enid.
