June 22 : Joe Jackson — the music manager and father of 11, has been hospitalized with terminal cancer, TMZ reports.

The 89-year-old Jackson family patriarch has been battling the illness “for some time,” the outlet says, but is “at the end stages” and “the cancer cannot be treated.”

Family, including wife Katherine, has been at his bedside, sources tell TMZ. Jackson’s children and grandchildren have also made visits.

On Wednesday, son Jermaine told the Daily Mail, “He’s very, very frail, he doesn’t have long. The family needs to be by his bedside – that’s our only intention in his final days.”

June 27 : Joe Jackson passes away in a Las Vegas hospice surrounded by family.

The Jackson family gathers to mourn him and prepare for the funerals.

January 20 :  Birth of Soltan Jackson, first child of Asa Soltan Rahmani and Jermaine Jr and first grand child of Jermaine & Hazel.

February 09 : Katherine Jackson claims she was the victim of years of mental abuse at the hands of her nephew and driver, Trent Lamar Jackson, to the point where she is afraid to return to her home.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Jackson, 86, claims her nephew (through marriage) has accessed her bank accounts without her permission, used credit cards of hers for his own personal purchases without authorization, and subjected her to years of mental abuse that has left Jackson “in a constant state of fear and confusion.”

Jackson describes her nephew as “an abusive con-man” who has manipulated her in order to “assume control of her finances.”

The Jackson family matriarch says she tried to fire her nephew and order him to move out of her guest house, but he has refused. Katherine is currently in London visiting her daughter, Janet Jackson, but is “afraid to go home with Trent there” and “fears he could physically harm her for terminating him.”

A judge granted Jackson’s request for a restraining order and ordered her nephew to move out of her home and return all keys, passwords and combinations to the property.

A hearing has been scheduled for March 1st.

March 01 : Jermaine attends an hearing in L.A to support Katherine who is still in London with Rebbie & Janet, but is “afraid to go home with Trent there” and “fears he could physically harm her for terminating him.”

A judge granted Jackson’s request for a restraining order and ordered her nephew to move out of her home and return all keys, passwords and combinations to the property. A follow-up hearing has been scheduled for March 23.

March 30 : Katherine flies from London to L.A with Rebbie. She is taken to Rebbie’s house in order to avoid Trent & TJ at her Calabasas home.

April 25 : Katherine files a request to dismiss the case against Trent without prejudice, however, L.A. County Superior Court Judge Rolf Michael Treu grants the dismissal with prejudice, preventing her from filing the restraining order again with the same evidence and allegations in the future. The judge does note that future conduct can be litigated.

Katherine’s new lawyers, Nelson J. Handy and Vatche Zetjian, explained that Katherine didn’t understand the extent of the action brought about by the case when she initially filed the temporary restraining order request in February, and said that she was not prepared for a trial, or having to testify in court.

June 04 : La Toya Jackson engaged to Jeffre Phillips : The 58-year-old singer and star of the reality show “Life With La Toya,” revealed she’s engaged to her longtime business manager, Jeffre Phillips, and showed off her ring during an interview that aired on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, June 4. “Yes, I am. I’m engaged. And I’m excited about it. Yes, I’m very much engaged … And it’s wonderful,” she told ABC’s Abbie Boudreau. Jackson flashed her 17.5 carat diamond ring, which can be seen above, and opened up about being single for many years after being in an abusive marriage to her former manager and ex-husband Jack Gordon. Gordon had denied her allegations. He died in 2005 at age 66. Jackson doesn’t have a wedding date set just yet, but she did talk about the possibility of adopting a child with Phillips. She appeared on “Good Morning America” to promote the second season of her reality show, which kicks off on June 7 at 10 p.m. on OWN. Viewers will see Phillips talking to Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, about possibly marrying La Toya.

June 14 : Attorney General Brown ask Judge Pastor to revoke Dr. Murray’s medical licence. Murray’s defense team brings up the plane incident where Dr. Murray helped a patient, adding that there’s no need to suspend his licence. Judge Pastor doesn’t suspend Dr. Murray’s medical license refuses to overturn the decision made by the last judge to hear the case Judge Pastor says “I don’t have ability to revisit the actions of one of my colleagues. I do not have jurisdiction to revisit this matter. It doesn’t have anything to do with how I feel or what I think. It has to do with the law and this court’s ability to follow the law”. Katherine, Joe, La Toya, Tito, Jermaine and his wife and his son (Jermaine Jr) attend the hearing. The preliminary hearing date has been set for August 23.

June 25 : LaToya learns from Katherine the tragic news that Michael has just died from cardiac arrest. LaToya goes to UCLA Medical Center where she gets to see Michael’s body. She tries to comfort Katherine & the kids. She signs the death certificate. Prince, Paris and Blanket are taken to Hayvenhurst with Katherine, LaToya, Austin, Jermaine, Halima, Randy & Tito join them. At night LaToya goes to Michael’s Carolwood home with Jeffré Phillips, Ron Boud. Rebbie, Katherine, Trent. Janet joins them.

July 06 : The Jackson family has a private open coffin viewing of Michael’s body at Forest Lawn cemetary with Karen Faye and Michael Bush’ s help to make Michael look beautiful for eternity.

July 07 : The whole Jackson family and friends attend a private memorial early in the morning at Forest Lawn cemetary. Then they go to the public memorial at the Staples Center in downtown L.A. The tribute show is aired live all around the world. At the end, the Jackson family and all the artist perform “We Are The World” and “Heal The World” with Prince, Paris and Blanket. Paris ends the tribute with a moving speech calling Michael “the best daddy you could ever imagine” before breaking in Janet’s arms. Following the memorial at Staples, the family has a lunch reception at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel ballroom with a couple hundred of their nearest and dearest friends.

July 12 : In a new shocking interview to UK journalist Caroline Graham from The Mail On Sunday, LaToya tells the world “my brother was murdered”.

July 28 : La Toya is releasing a new single called “Home” on iTunes in Michael’s memory. All proceeds will go to AIDS Project Los Angeles, one of Michael’s favorite charities.

August 3 : Katherine goes to the Los Angeles Superior Court with Rebbie, LaToya and Randy where the judge names her permanent guardian of Prince, Paris & Blanket.The Judge also grants visitation rights for Debbie Rowe as well as spousal support based on the agreement she struck with Michael several years ago.

August 6 : LaToya gives her first TV interview about Michael’s death on German TV Show RED.

September 03 : Michael is finally buried in The Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA. The service is attended by approximately 200 family and close friends. The pallbearers are Michael’s five brothers : Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy Jackson. At the beginning of the ceremony, Prince, Paris & Blanket put a crown on their father’s coffin to signify the final resting place of the King of Pop. The opening prayer is delivered by Pastor Lucius Smith. Gladys Knight sings the gospel hymn “His Eye Is on the Sparrow,” accompanied by Greg Phillinganes. Songwriter Clifton Davis sings The Jackson 5 song “Never Can Say Goodbye,” Following the funerals the family and the guests go to Villa Sorriso Ristorante — an Italian restaurant in Pasadena.
