3. Main Storylines

3.1. Eric Forrester’s Fashion Showdown and Medical Crisis

One of Season 37’s most significant storylines centered on Eric Forrester’s declining health.

Eric became increasingly frustrated with Ridge, believing that his son was attempting to push him out of the fashion business he had founded.

Determined to prove that he remained a talented designer, Eric challenged Ridge to a fashion competition.

RJ secretly assisted his grandfather in designing a new collection.

However, Eric began experiencing serious health problems, including tremors and coughing up blood.

Donna and Katie eventually learned that his condition was potentially terminal.

Despite his illness, Eric insisted on continuing with the fashion showdown.

The competition took place in October 2023, with several prominent guests attending, including Lauren Fenmore and Esther Valentine from The Young and the Restless.

Although Ridge’s collection achieved greater commercial success, he allowed Eric to believe he had won.

Eric’s health deteriorated further, culminating in a medical emergency during a celebration at the Forrester mansion in December 2023.

Finn proposed an experimental treatment that offered Eric a chance of survival.

The procedure succeeded, and Eric gradually recovered.

The storyline explored aging, family loyalty, professional identity and the fear of losing one’s independence.

3.2. Eric Forrester and Donna Logan Reunite in Marriage

Following Eric’s recovery, he decided to celebrate life and his relationship with Donna Logan.

Donna had remained devoted to him throughout his illness.

In February 2024, Eric surprised Donna by proposing marriage during a family gathering.

The couple married at the Forrester mansion on February 8, 2024.

Their wedding marked a reconciliation between two characters whose romantic history extended back many years.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Forrester and Logan families.

It was one of the season’s principal happy occasions, following months of medical uncertainty. TV Insider

3.3. Sheila Carter’s Apparent Death

Sheila Carter continued to create conflict between Finn and Steffy.

Steffy remained determined to protect her family from Sheila, whom she considered an ongoing threat.

In February 2024, a mysterious woman entered Steffy’s home at night.

Steffy believed the intruder was Sheila.

A violent confrontation followed, and Steffy stabbed the woman in self-defense.

The intruder died.

The police identified the body as Sheila Carter, apparently bringing an end to the character’s decades-long history of violence.

Finn was devastated by the apparent death of his biological mother.

Steffy, meanwhile, struggled with the psychological consequences of having killed someone.

However, Sheila’s death was not what it appeared to be.

3.4. The Mystery of Sugar and Sheila’s Return

Deacon Sharpe refused to accept Sheila’s death.

During the cremation, he noticed that the body had ten toes.

Sheila had previously lost a toe, leading Deacon to suspect that the deceased woman was someone else.

His investigation uncovered the existence of Janet Webber, known as Sugar.

Sugar had undergone plastic surgery to resemble Sheila.

Lauren Fenmore helped Deacon understand the history between Sheila and Sugar.

Deacon eventually enlisted Finn’s assistance.

On April 30, 2024, the two men discovered Sheila alive, chained in an abandoned warehouse.

Sheila had been kidnapped by Sugar, who intended to impersonate her and murder Steffy.

Instead, Steffy had killed Sugar, believing she was Sheila.

Sheila’s survival created another crisis in Finn and Steffy’s marriage.

Finn felt grateful that his biological mother was alive, while Steffy remained convinced that Sheila was dangerous.

The official archive confirms Sheila’s discovery on April 30, 2024. The Bold and the Beautiful

3.5. Deacon Sharpe and Sheila Carter Marry

3.6. Hope Logan and Thomas Forrester’s Relationship Ends

Hope and Thomas continued their romantic relationship following the collapse of Hope’s marriage to Liam.

Thomas hoped that their relationship would lead to marriage.

He proposed to Hope, but she was not ready to commit.

Although Hope cared deeply for Thomas, she remained uncertain about marrying him.

Thomas eventually concluded that their relationship could not continue under those circumstances.

In March 2024, he left Los Angeles with Douglas and moved to Paris.

Hope was devastated.

Thomas returned in June 2024, accompanied by Paris Buckingham.

He announced that he and Paris were engaged.

The revelation shocked Hope, who struggled to accept that Thomas had moved on.

The storyline also affected Douglas, who had previously hoped that Hope and Thomas would become a family.

3.7. Hope Logan Develops Feelings for Finn

Following Thomas’s departure, Hope began developing romantic feelings for Finn.

Finn offered emotional support during her difficult separation from Thomas.

He also helped Hope with medical concerns.

Their friendship gradually became more intimate.

Steffy grew increasingly suspicious of Hope’s intentions.

The situation reached a turning point in August 2024, when Hope kissed Finn during a celebration at the Forrester mansion.

Finn immediately rejected the kiss and informed Steffy.

Steffy was furious and demanded that Hope stay away from her husband.

The incident reignited the longstanding rivalry between the Logan and Forrester families.

By the end of Season 37, Hope’s position at Forrester Creations was increasingly threatened.

3.8. Luna Nozawa and RJ Forrester’s Romance

Luna continued working at Forrester Creations, where she developed a romantic relationship with RJ.

Their relationship initially appeared innocent and affectionate.

However, tensions emerged when Zende Forrester became attracted to Luna.

During a party, Luna accidentally consumed Poppy’s drug-laced mints.

Disoriented, she ended up in Zende’s bed, believing he was RJ.

The incident created a major crisis.

Luna was devastated when she realized what had happened.

Zende maintained that he had not understood her impaired state.

When RJ learned the truth, he felt betrayed.

The storyline explored consent, intoxication, trust and the consequences of deception.

Luna and RJ eventually attempted to repair their relationship.

However, Luna’s subsequent actions revealed that she was hiding a much darker personality.

3.9. Poppy Nozawa and Bill Spencer’s Relationship

Penelope “Poppy” Nozawa arrived in Los Angeles and reconnected with Bill Spencer.

Bill welcomed Luna into his family.

Poppy and Luna moved into the Spencer mansion.

However, Katie Logan became suspicious of Poppy’s past and her relationship with Bill.

The situation became increasingly complicated when two men connected to Poppy died under mysterious circumstances.

A second paternity test eventually established that Bill was not Luna’s biological father.

The original result had been falsified.

Tom Starr had helped Deacon and Finn rescue Sheila.

He subsequently began working at Il Giardino.

Tom also shared a mysterious history with Poppy Nozawa.

He believed that he might be Luna’s biological father.

In June 2024, Tom performed at Il Giardino.

During the event, he consumed a drink that had been poisoned.

He collapsed and died.

His death was initially treated as a possible drug overdose.

Shortly afterward, Hollis, another Il Giardino employee, discovered evidence connected to Tom’s death.

Hollis was also poisoned and died.

The two deaths created a murder mystery involving Sheila, Poppy and Luna.

Katie became convinced that Poppy was responsible.

Poppy was eventually arrested.

However, the real killer was someone entirely unexpected.

3.11. Luna Nozawa Is Revealed as a Murderer

In August 2024, Luna’s behavior became increasingly disturbing.

She unexpectedly kissed Bill Spencer, despite believing that he might be her father.

Bill was shocked and rejected her advances.

Meanwhile, Steffy began suspecting that Luna was concealing important information.

Steffy confronted Luna at her apartment.

Luna drugged Steffy and imprisoned her in a cage.

She then revealed that she had murdered Tom Starr and Hollis.

Luna had also manipulated the paternity test to make Bill believe he was her father.

Her objective was to secure a wealthy and powerful family connection.

As the apartment building was scheduled for demolition, Luna intended to leave Steffy trapped inside.

Finn eventually realized that Steffy was in danger.

He found her on September 5, 2024, and rescued her.

Li Finnegan confronted Luna, who was subsequently arrested.

The storyline transformed Luna from a sympathetic young woman into one of the show’s most dangerous antagonists. Originals for Paramount+

3.12. Will Spencer Returns as a Young Adult

Will Spencer returned to Los Angeles on August 1, 2024.

Now portrayed by Crew Morrow, Will had been significantly aged.

His return complicated Bill’s relationship with Poppy and Luna.

Will was uncomfortable discovering that his father had established a new family.

He remained close to Katie and hoped that his parents might reconcile.

Following Luna’s arrest, Will became increasingly determined to reunite Bill and Katie.

His return established a new generation of Spencer family storylines.

Brooke returned to the spotlight at Forrester Creations.

Ridge encouraged her to revive the successful Brooke’s Bedroom lingerie collection.

Brooke agreed to model for the campaign.

The relaunch became a major international event.

The campaign was accompanied by a special appearance by Danny Romalotti, portrayed by Michael Damian, who performed music for the event.

The storyline celebrated Brooke’s history as one of the company’s most recognizable faces.

3.15. Hope for the Future Faces Cancellation

Hope’s fashion line experienced increasing difficulties.

Following Thomas’s departure, the collection struggled creatively and commercially.

Steffy became increasingly critical of Hope’s management.

The tension between the two women intensified after Hope kissed Finn.

Archival Notes

The official production archive confirms that Season 37 consisted of 250 episodes broadcast between September 21, 2023, and September 13, 2024.

The most significant casting changes were Will Spencer’s SORAS and Taylor Hayes’s recast. The season also featured two completed marriages, three actual character deaths, and several appearances by characters originating on The Young and the Restless.

The distinction between Sheila Carter and Sugar is essential: Sugar died in February 2024; Sheila survived.

Likewise, Luna’s arrest should not be confused with a permanent departure from the series.

Finally, while the character directory includes the principal cast and many significant recurring and guest characters, it is not an exhaustive, individually verified record of all 250 episodes’ credits. Exact dates for some supporting appearances and individual child-performer credits remain unconfirmed.
