September 01 : MJ The Musical Startin’ Somethin’ in Asia : MJ THE MICHAEL JACKSON MUSICAL is heading to Asia, with Japan confirmed as the starting point of a major international tour in January 2027. The four-time Tony Award-winning production will launch its International Asian Tour at Tokyo’s Tokyu Theatre Orb in January 2027. The Tokyo season will be presented by Kinoshita Group together with the John Gore Organization and Kumiko Yoshii.

September 08 : Michael Steelbook Icon Edition: A New Premium Release For Michael Jackson Fans : Michael Jackson fans and collectors will soon have another physical edition of Michael to add to their collections. Universal is set to release the Michael Steelbook Icon Edition, a premium 4K UHD release of Antoine Fuqua’s Michael Jackson biopic, featuring exclusive packaging and a selection of physical collector extras. Scheduled for release on November 23, 2026, the Steelbook Icon Edition looks set to be one of the more substantial physical editions of Michael, combining the 4K UHD movie with a rigid slipcase, Steelbook packaging and additional memorabilia.

HBO Max Welcomes Michael After Battle with Jackson’s Estate : “HBO Max Singapore posted a beauty this week. Jaafar Jackson in the red leather jacket, gold script, the works, and a caption reading: “The king of pop has arrived.” Michael premieres on the platform on 25 September in what the poster itself calls select territories across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Somebody on that social team earned their corn.”

September 17 : Paris Jackson’s Legal Fees Challenged by Michael Jackson Estate : “According to newly filed court documents, estate co-executor John Branca is objecting to Paris’ request for $1,165,481.90 in legal fees, arguing that the amount she is seeking is excessive and includes work that was not directly connected to the matter in which she prevailed. The dispute comes after Paris successfully challenged $625,000 in bonus payments made to outside law firms working for Michael Jackson’s estate in 2018. The court ultimately ordered the money to be returned to the estate and also determined that Paris was entitled to recover her “reasonable” legal fees for achieving that benefit for the estate.”

September 18 : Invincible Album gets a re-issue for National Album Day : “Invincible turns 25 years old this October and it is clear that Sony Music is celebrating somehow. However, unlike the rumours of additional songs on the album sparked a few weeks ago by a social media post reading “Invincible 25 is coming”, this is just a re-issue in a special format. As part of National Album Day 2026, Invincible will be re-issued as a 2LP set on Marbled Stone Grey vinyl, giving collectors a new physical edition of Michael Jackson’s final studio album.”

On October 16, four Michael Jackson releases will once again be available on vinyl: Thriller 25, Bad 25, the compilation album Scream, and the rather infamous This Is It – 10th Anniversary box set.”
