The website explains that the physical magazine will hit newsstands on February 5 and will feature a brand new photoshoot + an  exclusive new interview that Marshall Heyman conducted with Janet recently while in New York.

February 2 : Janet participates in a new version of “We Are The World” that is being recorded for Haiti earthquake victims.

Most of the singers participating in the song, which included Barbara Streisand, Kanye West, Celine Dion, Tony Bennett, LL Cool J, will.i.am, and Josh Groban, recorded their vocals together on February 1 at the same Hollywood studio where the original version of the song was made.

Janet, however, records her lines from a studio in Atlanta.

The song and video for the 25th anniversary recording of “We Are the World”  have its world premiere during NBC’s live broadcast of the Winter Olympics opening ceremonies in Vancouver.

Immediately following the televised premiere, both the song and video are made available to purchase on iTunes. Proceeds of each download go to the We Are the World Foundation, a non-profit organization whose funds will be directed to worthwhile charities, hand-selected by the board of directors, which include Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie. The artists have agreed to forego payment, so the Foundation can receive a greater share of the proceeds. iTunes has even waived its share of the proceeds for downloads for the first months of the Foundation’s campaign. Additional donations to the Foundation can be made on its official website at www.world25.org.

February 19 : Rodney Jerkins releases a new Janet song featuring Pitbull titled “HeartBeatLove.” he song can be streamed and downloaded at Jerkins’ website. You need to register to the website in order to view the link. This is the final version of a demo revealed several weeks ago, which at the time was titled “Not My Love.”

February 20 : Janet attends Finch & Partners annual pre-BAFTA party at Annabels in London.

February 21 : Janet attends the Todd Lynn Show and the Vivienne Westwood Red Label Show in London.

February 22 :  Janet attends the Pringle Of Scotland show for London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010 at The Serpentine Gallery.

February 24 :  Janet attends the “A Child of the Jago” fashion show during London Fashion Week in London.

March 3 : Janet attends a performance of Tyler Perry’s stage play Madea’s Big Happy Family at the Arie Crown Theatre in Chicago.

Following the play’s conclusion, Janet makes an appearance on the stage with Perry, shows the trailer for Why Did I Get Married Too?, and encourages the audience to go see it when it comes out next month.

Janet’s new song “Nothing,” the theme song from the movie Why Did I Get Married Too?, is played tonight in its entirety at a private advance screening of the film that is held at a movie theater in Chicago for people who will be in the audience at tomorrow’s taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show, which Janet and Tyler Perry will be appearing on.

Janet & Tyler Perry tape an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago which will air on Friday, April 2, the same day that Why Did I Get Married Too? hits theaters.

March 16 : A new interview with Janet to promote Why Did I Get Married Too? is featured on tonight’s episode of Entertainment Tonight.

March 18 : Janet is a guest on NBC’s  “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” live from Burbank, California.

March 19 : Atlanta radio station V103 FM  premieres Janet’s new song “Nothing” on the air in its entirety this afternoon.

March 22 : Back in NYC, Janet and Tyler Perry are guests on NBC’s Today Show to promote the release of Why Did I Get Married Too?

Janet ‘s new song “Nothing” from Why Did I Get Married Too? is now available to purchase on iTunes worldwide.

AOL’s Black Voices is reporting that Janet will star in Tyler Perry next film, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.

The website says that last night at the New York City premiere of Why Did I Get Married Too?, Perry revealed the film’s cast, which, in addition to Janet, will include Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, and Macy Gray.

The film is based on Ntozake Shange’s award-winning 1975 play consisting of a series of poems performed through a cast of nameless women. The poems deal with love, abandonment, rape, and abortion. It is scheduled to shoot in June in New York with a possible winter 2010/2011 release date.

Attorney General Jerry Brown on the behalf of Medical Board of California files documents asking Los Angeles Superior Court to prevent Dr. Murray practicing medicine in California until the criminal proceedings against him are completed.

In NYC, Janet films the video for “Nothing” directed by Tim Palen who is a photographer and the Co-President of Theatrical Marketing at Lions Gate Entertainment, the company that is releasing Why Did I Get Married Too?.

Janet’s interview on The Tyler Perry Show (taped in Atlanta on February 1) is aired on TBS.

March 25 : JD posts a behind the scenes video clip from the set of the music video for “Nothing” on his You Tube, Twitter and blog pages.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Janet says that although she had been in the studio recently to record new music, she is not recording an album at the moment.

She also reveals that she has not signed a deal with any record labels and is actually contemplating releasing music independently.

March 30 : Janet is added to the line-up of artists scheduled to perform this Fourth of July weekend at the Essence Music Festival.

MTV posts a new interview with Janet and Tyler Perry, and in the clip, Perry confirms that Janet has signed on to film his next movie, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf:

Dr. Murray’s defense files documents to respond to Attorney General’s motion to suspend Murray’s medical licence. They state that Dr. Murray need to be able to work and earn an income to be able to pay for his defense.

April 2 : U.S. theatrical release of Why Did I Get Married Too?

April 5 : Judge Michael Pastor is assigned as the trial judge. The next hearing date is set to June 14th. Judge did not make a decision in regards to Murray’s medical license. Katherine, Joe, Jermaine, Randy and Janet attend the court hearing. Murray enters the courthouse from back entrance to avoid fans and media. Judge Pastor does not allow cameras into the courtroom.

The soundtrack for Why Did I Get Married Too? will hit stores in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday, April 27 and can now be pre-ordered on Amazon.com.

Why Did I Get Married Too? has debuted at the second spot on the box office charts, grossing an estimated $30.2 million in its opening weekend.

The film becomes the second highest opener for Tyler Perry after last year’s Madea Goes to Jail, which scored $41 million. The original Why Did I Get Married? opened at number one with $21.4 million in 2007.

July 15 : Janet  is the latest celebrity who has posed for Blackglama’s long-running advertising campaign, “What Becomes a Legend Most?”

Janet was photographed by Rocco Laspata of Laspata DeCaro, at the Milk Studios in New York. The campaign, which begins in September, will span print, online and outdoor outlets. The ads will appear in Vanity Fair, W, Vogue, T Magazine and Harper’s Bazaar, as well as WWD and Style.com, in addition to the international editions of Vanity Fair, Vogue, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar. Blackglama will also mount a Times Square billboard at Broadway and 45th Street in September.

September 1 : Lionsgate announces that the theatrical release date in the U.S. and Canada for Tyler Perry’s new film For Colored Girlshas been moved up to November 5.

The film had originally been scheduled  for release on January 14, 2011.

Variety is reporting that the move better positions the film for year-end awards consideration and is meant to bolster the company’s remaining 2010 slate.

More than a month and a half after announcing Janet Jackson as the newest Legend to grace the “What Becomes a Legend Most?” campaign, the media coverage and awareness continues to build.

On Wednesday, September 1, the “What Becomes a Legend Most?” billboard containing Janet Jackson was unveiled in Manhattan’s Times Square. Occupying one of the city’s most prestigious pieces of real estate, the billboard takes up two sides of a very busy corner space. In such a high-traffic area, these images are literally being seen by hundreds of thousands of people each day.

AOL’s The Boombox this afternoon posted a Q&A with Janet Jackson comprised of questions submitted by fans via Twitter and Facebook.

In the Q&A, Janet reveals for the first time that she is currently working on a “box set” with Universal Music, but does not give any indication concerning what it will contain.

December 1 : Janet has partnered with the Trevor Project to film a PSA sending a message to LGBT youth who have been bullied that “It Gets Better.”

Janet speaks via telephone  with CNN Headline News anchor Richelle Carey to discuss World AIDS Day, which is recognzied worldwide every December 1:

Project Angel Food, a charity that provides daily meals for people homebound or disabled by HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses, is auctioning off a custom-made Janet Jackson Barbie doll.

The unique doll was made by Mattel to resemble Janet as she performed during the 2010 American Idol finale. Proceeds from the auction, which ends on December 15, will benefit Project Angel Food
