April 26+27+28 : The Jackson family moves their cabaret set to the Sahara Tahoe in Stateline.

1975

January 25 : The Jackson 5 perform “Life Of The Party” on the Carol Burnett Show (taped at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City). Janet & Randy also perform on the show.

February 18 : Michael & Janet present an award with to Gladys Knight & The Pips at the American Music Awards.

March 16 : The Jackson 5 appear on the Cher TV show. They are introduced by Janet and they perform I Am Love + a skit called The World Is a Mess and finally Cher joins the group to perform a medley of I Want You Back/I’ll Be There/Never Can Say Goodbye/The Love You Save/Dancing Machine.

April 9+10+11+12+13+14+15+16+17+18 : The Jackson family goes back to MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas for a last series of shows.

June 16 : The Jackson 5 performs Moving Violation at the Dinah Show and Janet & Randy do their Sonny & Cher skit.

June 30 : Joe Jackson calls a press conference at the Rainbow Grill in Manhattan with the whole family but Jermaine to announce that the Jackson are leaving Motown for CBS Epic Records. Jermaine is officially replaced by Randy. Janet attends the conference.

1976

June 16 : CBS airs the first episode of The Jacksons Variety Show. The show based on their Las Vegas set features The Jacksons + The Jackson Sisters (Rebbie, LaToya & Janet). Special guest star : Sonny Bono. September 21 : Janet makes her acting debut on CBS’s hit sitcom “Good Times” as Penny Gordon Woods. She joins the cast at the start of season 5 and will appear in all 24 episodes of the season.

1978

January 31 : Janet attends the Harlem Globetrotters basketball game at the Anaheim Convention in Anaheim with Katherine.

March 12 : Janet attends the Annual Rock N Roll Sports Classic at the University of California in Irvine.

September 16 :“Good Times” 6th season premiere on CBS. Janet plays Penny Gordon Woods on 22 of the 24 episodes of the season.

1979

December 15 : Janet joins the cast of “A New Kind Of Family” sitcom on ABC. She plays the character of Jojo Ashton for 3 episodes. The show is canceled shortly after.

1980

December 31 : Janet joins the cast of “Diff’rent Strokes” sitcom on NBC. She plays the character of Charlene DuPrey, Willy’s girlfriend.

1981

October 29 : Janet plays Charlene on Season 4 of Diff’rent Strokes.

1982

May 6 : During an episode of Diff’Rent Strokes titled “The Music Man” Janet sings “The Magic Is Working” a song she has just recorded for her debut album.

October 30 : Janet performs Young Love & Come Give Your Love On Me for the first time on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand and reveals why she wears a key on her ear ring.

November 5 : Janet performs Young Love on Solid Gold.

December 18 : Janet performs Say You Do and Young Love on the Soul Train show.

1983

February 4 : LaToya, Janet and Joe Jackson attend the R&B Awards in Los Angeles.

1984

January 11 : At the first annual Black Gold Awards, Janet is presented with the hottest female newcomer of the year award at the Black Gold Awards (with a video congratulations from Michael).

January 16 : Michael, Janet & LaToya attend the American Music Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

February 7 : Michael goes to the New York Metropolitan Museum of Natural History to receive awards from CBS & The Guineess Book Of World Records to celebrates Thriller as the largest-selling album of all time (25 millions at the time) Among the many guest are Michael’s date for the evening Brooke Schields, & the whole Jackson family (including LaToya, Rebbie & Janet).

February 26 : Katherine, LaToya, Janet & Michael attend the premiere of Pepsi’s Jacksons commercial at a black-tie event for 1000 bottlers at New York City ’s Lincoln Center .

Janet appears in Diff’rent Strokes episode titled “The Wedding Part 2”.

February 28 : In the company of Brooke Schields & Emmanuel Lewis, Michael attends the Grammy Awards ceremony broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium of Los Angeles. He wins an unprecedented 8 awards. On stage he shares his triumph with producer Quincy Jones and invites his sisters Janet, LaToya & Rebbie to join him.

August 31 : Janet performs Don’t Stand Another Chance on Much More Music in Toronto, Canada.

September 15 : Janet performs her new single Don’t Stand Another Chance & Dream Street on American Bandstand.

September 29 : Season 4 premiere of “Fame” featuring Janet is aired on NBC. In the first episode Janet/Cleo performs  her new single “Two To The Power Of Love” with Jesse Borrego taking Cliff Richard’s place.

October 23 : Janet gives an interview on the Bryant Gumbel show.

October 27 : In Fame new episode “The Heart Of Rock N Roll”, Janet/Cleo performs “Don’t Stand Another Chance”.

November 10 : Janet performs Don’t Stand Another Chance on the Soul Train Show.

1985

January : Janet presents an award with sister Rebbie at the Black Gold Awards at the Cocoanut Grove, Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.

January 26 : In Fame’s new episode “The Heart Of Rock N Roll II”, Janet/Cleo performs a rendition of Jackson 5 hit “I Want You Back”.

January 28 : Janet attends the American Music Awards with James. She and LaToya presents an award to Kenny Rogers.

February 2 : Janet is a guest star on a two part episode of ABS series “Love Boat”. She plays the character Della. The episodes were shot on location in Scandinavia & Russia.

March 28 : Janet attends the premiere of “The Last Dragon” with James.

May 25 : In Fame’s season 4 finale, Janet/Cleo performs “Dream Street”. This is Janet first ever promotional music video and also her last appearance on the show.

October 27 : Janet supports LaToya by performing background vocals on her song “Baby Sister” during a live performance at the 16th annual World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo, Japan.

1986

January 27 :  At the end of the American Music Awards ceremony, Michael joins many celebrities including Diana Ross, Janet & LaToya to sing We Are The World.

September 19 : The album “Rhythm Nation 1814” is released by A&M Records. The “Rhythm Nation 1814” short film is world premiered on MTV. Janet gives a press conference to announce the album & the short film.

November : Janet, Rene & the Kids (the dancers) go on a promotional tour in Europe.

April 7 : Janet and her crew perform the very last SOTW show at Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage on a boat cruise in Miami, Florida.

May 17 : Opening night for Janet’s residency in Vegas. Many family and friends attend the show  including Katherine, Rebbie, Austin, Yashi, Jimmy Jam, Yvette Nicole Brown, Queen Latifah, Gabrielle Union, Eve etc. Later Janet attends the after party for the debut of her residency “Metamorphosis” at On The Record Speakeasy and Club at Park MGM.

June 29 : Janet performs a 50 minutes set at the Glastonbury Festival in England.

August 27 : Missy Elliott is presented with Michael Jackson Vanguard Award during the MTV Video Music Awards. Janet does not attend but she sends a pre recorded video message to congratulate Missy.

September 13 : Janet visits the Flyte Time Studios in Minneapolis with Terry Lewis & Jimmy Jam. The visit is filmed for the Rhythm Nation 1814 30th anniversary promotion.

September 14 : Janet performs a concert at the Treasure Island Amphitheater in Welch, Minnesota. Terry Lewis & Jimmy Jam join her onstage.

September 19 : Janet celebrates the 30th anniversary of Rhythm Nation 1814 with small videos messages on her social medias + Spotify.

September 21 : Janet performs a concert at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

October 28 : Janet makes a surprise appearance at the 2019 Pride of Britain Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London to present Dame Elizabeth Anionwu with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

October 31 : Host Sheinelle Jones dresses as Janet in her “Rhythm Nation” Video during NBC’s “Today” Halloween Celebration at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City and Janet congratulates her in a pre recorded video taped in London.

November 6 : Janet gives an interview to radio show Carrie & Tommy on Hit network. She rehearses with the Kids.

November 8 : Janet performs a concert at  RNB Fridays Live 2019 at HBF Park in Perth, Australia.

November 9 : Janet performs a concert at  RNB Fridays Live 2019 at HBF Park in Melbourne, Australia.

November 20 + 21 + 23 : Janet performs the very last concerts of her State Of The World 2017-2019 Tour in Honolulu.

December 1 : Janet presents the Urban Luxe Award to Rihanna at The Fashion Awards 2019 held at Royal Albert Hall in London.

2020

January 25 : Janet attends the Clive Davis Pre-GRAMMY Gala and “GRAMMY Salute to Industry Icons” in Beverly Hills with Preston, Gil & Joey. She poses with many friends including Jimmy Jam, Usher, Naomi Campbell, Joni Mitchell & P Diddy. At the end she is presented with a plaque honoring her carrer.

January 30 : Janet attends the Gatsby Gala 2020 at Bloomsbury Ballroom in London. Later she does her first ever Q&A on Instagram Live with Preston.

February 8 : Janet is spotted at NYC airport. At night she attends a private party with Preston, Alexander Wang, Malibu Mitch & Summer Walker.

February 10 : At night Janet is a guest on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon where she announces her upcoming “Black Diamond” album and tour and performs an acoustic version of her song “runaway” with The Roots.

February 12 : Janet is a guest on radio show”On Air With Ryan Seacrest”.

Later she pays a surprise visit to “The View” talk show at ABC Television Studios, 57 West 66th Street in NYC to invite the audience and co-hosts to her upcoming BTD.

2021

November 8 : A pre taped video of Janet is played during the unveiling of Missy Elliott’s star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Janet also congratulates Missy on her social medias : @missymisdemeanorelliott ! It’s about time. I wish I was there. Welcome to the walk of fame. I am so proud of u and I luv u so much!

At night Janet makes a live appearance on Dancing With The Stars on ABC which is “Janet Jackson Night”. She is live from her London home (Preston flew to London to do her make up and hair).
