January 03 : Frank Cascio’s lawyer, Howard King, notifies Signature Resolution that Frank and other Respondents intended to assert counterclaims against MJC, Branca and other individuals and entities related to Michael Jackson, including presumably for defamation. Thus, the Respondents have clearly acknowledged through their then-attorney that any affirmative claims they may have against MJC and the released parties under the Agreement must be resolved pursuant to arbitration.

January 11 : The Jackson Family home Hayvenhurst in the path of the LA Fire
Mandatory evacuation orders were issued Friday evening for a portion of the affluent Brentwood area of Los Angeles as the Palisades Fire rapidly spread. The wildfire, the largest in the Los Angeles region, posed a threat to landmarks such as the Getty Center and extended into parts of the Brentwood and Encino neighborhoods. Authorities ordered evacuations in Encino, leading to the closure of Hayvenhurst Avenue on Friday night. Notably, Hayvenhurst Avenue is home to the iconic Jackson family estate, purchased in 1971 for $250,000 and affectionately named “Hayvenhurst.” The Jackson family resided there for decades, with the remaining members moving out around 2010-2011 to the Calabasas area. Since then, the estate has been used for charity events hosted by Prince Jackson.

January 12 : MJ Estate : He thrilled audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with his performances as the lead in @mjthemusical. He originated the lead role in MJ the Musical on Broadway and became the youngest to win a Tony Award as lead actor in a musical. And he reprised that role on the West End since it’s opening at the Prince Edward Theater last year. Last night’s magical performance was his last in the role as he spreads his wings and flies to his next adventure.

January 14 : ‘Rock With You’ music video upgraded : The Estate of Michael Jackson recently made a surprising move by giving one of his classic music videos, “Rock With You,” a visual upgrade. The video is now available on YouTube with a higher resolution option, labeled as “4K.” While this unexpected update caught fans off guard, it raises an interesting question: could this be a sign of more updates to come? Perhaps the Estate is planning to remaster all of Michael Jackson’s iconic short films in preparation for the upcoming biopic.

January 18 : Update on Hayvenhurst : “The Palisades Fire has now burned 23,713 acres over the course of 10 days and is 39% contained. Firefighters have made significant progress, and the Jackson family home on Hayvenhurst Avenue is no longer in the evacuation zone and has been deemed safe. Efforts to further contain the fire continue as crews monitor weather conditions and remaining hotspots.”

A source close to the production tells PEOPLE Jan. 24, “The Michael Jackson biopic is not in total chaos. The inflammatory headlines about the moving halting are simply not true. The film is moving forward, and reshoots are happening in March.”
