September 6 : The following information was released by Michael’s spokesperson, Raymone K. Bain via his official web site, MJJ Source : “Within 24 hours, Mr. Jackson will be reaching out to other recording superstars asking that they join him in this project to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. Washington, D.C. ……. In response to the widespread devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina, Recording Superstar Michael Jackson has been moved to pen a song, with the working title, “From the Bottom of My Heart.” Hoping to rekindle the success of “We Are the World,” which he wrote and produced, and which raised millions of dollars for aid to Africa, Mr. Jackson will be enlisting, within the next 24 hours, the involvement of other recording superstars to join him in this project. It is his intention to record this record within the next two weeks. “It pains me to watch the human suffering taking place in the Gulf Region of my country,” says Mr. Jackson. “My heart and prayers go out to every individual who has had to endure the pain and suffering caused by this tragedy. I will be reaching out to others within the music industry, to join me in helping to bring relief and hope to these resilient people who have lost everything.”
The song will be recorded on 2 Seas Records, a label owned by Prince Abdulla Hamad Alkhalifa of Bahrain. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
January 04 : Michael writes a statement on MJJSource, expressing his sympathy to the victims of the Indian Ocean earthquake, urging friends and fans to contribute towards relief efforts.

December 17 : Michael (accompanied by Karen & Raymone) welcomes 200 unprivilged children to spend the day at Neverland. 50 journalists are also invited including Geraldo Rivero whom Michael thanks for his support.
2003
November 9 : Michael donates a pair of painted shoes for “Shoes for Charity”. A shoe manufacturer named Tatami had the idea to create this charity for children suffering from traumas. Celebrities, including Michael Jackson, gave their donated shoes a special and unique touch by painting them.
2001
April : Michael wraps up conversations with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach about his life, which he started recording in August 2000. These intimate conversations became available in Boteach’s 2009 book. The conversations, free of Boteach’s biased commentary found in the book, are available in the text document. Some time later, Michael & Shmuley have a fallout and Heal The Kids Foundation is dismanttled…
March 25 : Michael goes to Newark, New Jersey, with Frank & Schmuley to distribute books to children under Heal The Kids.
March 06 : Michael goes to the Oxford University to give a moving speech about childhood. Frank, Uri, Schmuley & german business partner Dieter Wiesner attend the event. Michael gives a highly personal speech to promote his “Heal The Kids” program, in which he expresses his appreciation for children, explains his forgiveness to his father, and urges families to reconnect with their children. Michael’s donation of a birthday call and a coat to the “Movie Action for Children” auction at Sotheby’s supports UNICEF’s efforts to prevent mother-to-child HIV transmission in Africa.
February 14 : Hundreds of fans gather inside Carnegie Hall in New York to welcome Michael to a pre-launch event panel for his new charity ‘Heal The Kids’. The charities main initiative is to help restore a child’s birthright to nurturing care. Michael Jackson’s Heal The World Foundation and The Seminar Center presented a special Valentines Day Extravaganza featuring an all-star pPanel of celebrities and experts. The event takes place at the Carnegie Hall in New York City with Shmuley Boteach & Frank Cascio.
January 19 : Michael donates a coat to the Movie Action for Children auction. All proceeds go to UNICEF’s efforts to prevent mother-to-child HIV transmission in Africa. Michael promises to donate a personal phone call on the highest bidder’s birthday.
2000
November 21 : Michael attends the launching of his new foundation “Heal The Kids” with Shmuley Boteach & Frank Cascio at his publicist Howard Rubenstein’s house in NYC.
August 27 : Michael invites Rabby Schmuley Boteach & his family to spend one week at Neverland so they can work on their projects for the children (a book and a new foundation). The same day, he invites 10 year old cancer victim Gavin Arvizo & his family (his parents Janet & David, his brother Star & his sister Davellin). Gavin & Star ask him to sleep over in his room, Michael offer them his bed and sleeps on the floor with Frank Cascio.
1998
October : Michael participates in the official fundraising project of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games “Wave to the World” in a music video with the song entitled “Spirit of Life”, wearing a shirt with their logo and waving at the camera.
