2009

June 12 : The Dome Project for Smooth Criminal is filmed at Culver Studios.
The video segment would be shown on giant screen, as he jumps from the window, MJ appears on the middle of the stage over the ramp with a gun and shoots at the screen revealing the title.

June 11 : The Dome Project for Thriller is filmed at Culver Studios. The video segment would be shown on giant screen before Michael appear on stage, he would be revealed under a black widow.

June 3 : Michael goes to Culver Studios with Prince, Paris & Kenny Ortega where he shoots “The Drill” 3D.

May 29 : Michael has a meeting with his team to check visual references for the dome projects that were in the works

2005

September : Michael invites Bob Jenkins to Neverland to work on a new mix of the “Ghosts” shortfilm soundtrack. 

2003

November 17 : Michael is shooting the video for “One More Chance” in Las Vegas with Aldo & Marie Nicole Cascio. He is staying at Villa One at the Mirage Hotel with Grace, Prince, Paris, Blanket & Dieter Wiesner.

October 27 : “What More Can I Give” is made available as a download on the Internet. Michael goes shopping at the Regis Gallery and Magic Shop Museum at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, with the Lester girls. Michael attends the premiere of the song’s video at a Las Vegas casino. During the screening, Michael mingles with the small audience and watches the video while sitting on the floor In the evening, Michael premieres the video of the song during the Radio Music Awards where Beyonce also presents him with the Humanitarian Award.

September : Michael is filmed for his appearance in “Miss Cast Away and the Island Girls” as Agent MJ. During filming, Michael has a telephone conversation with Elizabeth Taylor, telling her that he did backing vocals for the Doobie Brothers.

2002

April 12 : Michael talks to the the actionnaires of MDP Worldwide through a recorded video message asking them to rename the company Neverland Pictures. The first movies project is called “Wolfed”

April : Michael is about to start shooting the “Unbreakable” short film when Sony announces that they won’t release the single. The promotion of the Invincible album is over with only 2 singles!!!

Michael and Brian Michael Stollers work on a movie project called “They Cage The Animals At Night” based on a novel.

February 24 : Michael, Elizabeth Taylor & Brett Ratner attend a private party at Mark Damon’s house to announce that Neverland Entertainment and Raju Sharad Patel have signed with Damon’s independant film company MDP Worldwide Entertainment to create a new division called Neverland Pictures. Michael invests $15-20 million in MDP Worldwide Entertainment Inc., a little-known Montreal film producer and distributor, and its new division to be called Neverland Pictures. Films planned include “Tom Thumb” and “Wolfed!”, based on the novel “The Wolf-Leader” by Alexander Dumas.

2001

October 16 : Michael films a scene for the movie Men In Black 2 directed by Barry Sonnefield where he plays Agent M.

September 21 : The video for “You Rock My World” is premiered in Europe.

August 13-21 : Michael shoots the “You Rock My World “short film in Los Angeles directed by Paul Hunter and featuring Chris Tucker and a special appearance by Marlon Brando!

2000

February : Michael visits “Stan Lee Media” headquarters in Beverly Hills, California, and is given a tour by Stan Lee, who talks with him about teaming up to buy Marvel.

January 20 : Michael’s co-production credit for the planned “The Nightmares of Edgar Allan Poe” film is reported; Michael read the script in August, and plans to prepare for his leading role.

1999

November 12 : Michael plans to star as the lead actor in a film named “The Nightmares of Edgar Allan Poe” and starts working on songs for the soundtrack of the movie.

1997

October : Michael shoots for a commercial for the “Esonic Video Discbaby”, one of the first portable video disc players.

Late May : Michael’s appearance in an MTV commercial for the 1997 European leg of his “HIStory World Tour”, with a “Don’t try this at home” line, airs.

May 8 : Michael attends a midnight private presentation of his “Ghosts” short film at the Cannes Film Festival. He climbs the lengendary steps of the Palais des Festivals with Stan Winston & Tarak Ben Ammar among others.

April 2 : The “Blood On The Dance Floor” short film is premiered on VH1.

February 10/11/12 : Michael shoots the “Blood On The Dance Floor” short film in Los Angeles. The short film is directed by Vincent Patterson and Michael himself.

1996

December 18 : Michael visits Sega headquarters in Tokyo with Omer Bhatti where he shoots a SEGA mystery game until 10pm. He is filming a version of “Digital Dance MIX” (Sega Saturn) which is to be released as Namie Amuro’s first release the following month.

October 24 : The short film “Ghosts” is premiered in 11 selected Sony cinemas in the US including the Motion Picture Academy Of Arts in Beverly Hills, California, alongside Stephen King’s full length horror movie ‘Thinner’.

September : The single “Why” (duet between 3T & MJ) is released in Europe along with a video.

August 28 : The single “Stranger in Moscow” is released as the 5th & final single from the “History” album along with a video in black & white.

Early July : In Van Nuys, Michael shoots the videos for “Stranger In Moscow” (directed by Nick Brandt) & “Why” (with the 3T).

May 15 : Michael flies back from Paris to Los Angeles to resume work on the Ghost short film.

April : Michael starts filming the “Ghost” short film in Van Nuys studios (California). During breaks, he visits his family at Hayvenhurst disguised as the “Mayor”.

The two versions of “They Don’t Care About Us” short film are premiered. The controversial imagery and lyrics of “They Don’t Care About Us” prevented the “prison version” of the short film from airing during primetime music video programming hours. It was not released to home video until 2010, when it was included as a bonus feature on Michael Jackson’s Vision.

March : Michael starts working on a new short film named “Ghost” for the song “2 Bad”, directed by Stan Winston and co-written by Stephen King. This project is based on the “Is This Scary” project that was scrapped in 1993 because of the Chandler scandal.

February 10-17 : Michael films a second version of the “They Don’t Care About Us” short film directed by Spike Lee. 

January 9 : Michael is in NYC to shoot the short film for “They Don’t Care About Us” directed by Spike Lee.

1995

November 27 : The single & video of Earth Song are released in Europe. In the United Kingdom.

Mid-August : Michael shoots the video for Earth Song directed by Nicholas Brandt. The video Is filmed in four geographic regions (Americas, Europe and Africa). The first location was the Amazon Rainforest, where a large part was destroyed a week after the video’s completion. Natives of the region appeared in the video and were not actors. The second scene was a war zone in Karlovac, Croatia, with famous Serbian actor Slobodan Dimitrijević and the residents of the area. The third location was Tanzania, which incorporated scenes of illegal poaching and hunting into the video. No animals were harmed in the making of the “Earth Song”, as the footage came from documentary archives. The final location was in Warwick, New York, where a safe forest fire was simulated in a corn field.

July 28 : ABC airs a special feature called “Michael Jackson Changes History” during which Michael gives an interview to Bill Bellamy and premieres the video for “You Are Not Alone”.

July 12 : Michael & Lisa Marie shoot the video for “You Are Not Alone”.

June 13 : The “Scream” short film is premiered on MTV & BET.

May 30-June 02 : Michael shoots the “Childhood” short film directed by Nicholas Brandt in Los Angeles.

May 22 : MTV and VIH premiere the HIStory teaser. Later the teaser is rolled out to cinemas across the U.S.

May 15-20 : Michael & Janet shoot the “Scream” short film, directed by Mark Romanek.

1994

August 08 : Second day of filming of the HIStory teaser in Budapest, Hungary.

August 07 : Michael shoots a teaser for his forthcoming album with an army of Russian soldiers. He arrives on the scene around noon, accompanied by his wife Lisa Marie Presley and shaded by a huge raspberry color umbrella being carried by his assistant Jimmy Safechuck.

May : Michael starts working on a remake of a musical named “The Seven Faces Of Doctor Lao” with special effect specialist Stan Winston.

1993

December 1 : “Gone Too Soon is released as the ninth and final single from the Dangerous album with a video on World AIDS Day of 1993.

November 23 : “Dangerous: The Short Films” is released on VHS.

September 14 : While in Moscow, Michael shoots a video of himself marching with Russian Army soldiers.

August 22 : Filming for “Is This Scary” wrapps in L.A with crucial scenes missing including Michael’s singing and dacing parts”.

August 20 : Michael cancels the filming of “Is This Scary” and goes to San Francisco to embark on a commercial flight to Taipei (Taiwan) with Bill Bray.

August 18 : Bert Fields and Anthony Pellicano inform Michael that the Los Angeles Police Department ‘s Sexually Exploited Child Unit has opened a criminal investigation on him. The same day, June & Dave are interviewed the LAPD. Michael does not show up on the set of “Is This Scary”. According to Arnold Klein he has a 103 degree temperature. Word is that Michael is about to cancel the next leg of his Dangerous Tour.

August 17 : Michael shows up at 8 pm on the set of “Is This Scary” with Brett Barnes & Arnold Klein.

August 14 : Michael resumes the filming of “Is This Scary”.

August 13 : Michael calls in sick and does not show up on the set of “Is This Scary”.

August 10 +11 +12 : Michael starts filming the short film “Is This Scary” directed by Mick Garris at CBS/Radfort Studios in Studio City. Shana Mangatal, the secretary of Michael’s manager is part of the cast. James Safechuck and his parents visit Michael on the set and they all pose for a picture together.

July : Michael starts working on a short film named “Is This Scary” with Stephen King and Mick Garris for a song scheduled to appear on “The Adam Family Values” soundtrack.

June 28 : “Will You Be There”, the eighth single from Dangerous is released worldwide. It peaks at #7 on Hot 100 Billboard. The “live” video is a montage of MTV 10th anniversay performance and the Dangerous tour.

June : Michael signs off on two film ideas put to him by producer Rusty Lemorande, remakes of the James Cagney film “Angels With Dirty Faces” and the 1964 film “7 Faces of Dr. Lao”.

April 15 : The video for “Watzupwitu”  is premiered on FOX & BET.

March 8 : Michael’s announcement of “Michael Jackson Productions Inc.”, a film production company, which will give a share of its profits to his “Heal the World Foundation”, is published.

March : Michael updates and approves the second music video for “Who Is It”, which is a compilation video of his performances by MTV producer Glenn Ribble.

February 10 : “Michael Jackson Talks…to Oprah” is aired live from Neverland Valley Ranch all around the world attracting around 100 million viewers. World, premiere of the “Give In To Me” short film.

1992

November 23 : The “Heal the World” music video / short film, which Michael contributes ideas in is premiered.

October 2 : Michael films scenes with the Romanian police, at the time intended for a music video titled Police Walk. The thousands of police officers recruited for the occasion receive instructions from the director, who asks them not to overtake Michael as he walks and runs at the head of their group like a general leading his troops. One of them dares, at the end of the shoot, to hand Michael a piece of paper for an autograph, but without much success, as Michael is quickly taken away by his bodyguards.

October 1 : Michael performs a concert at Lia Manoliu National Stadium in Bucharest (demolished in 2008 and replaced since 2011 by the Arena Națională), the largest stadium in the country, with a capacity of nearly 70,000 people. The concert is broadcasted live to 61 countries across the world and on October 10 on HBO.

July 13 : The “Who Is It” video is premiered on BBC2 but Michael withdraws it the day after.

July : The new Jackson/Pepsi commercials “Dreams” & “I’ll Be There” are aired on TV.

June 25 : Michael films the video for ‘Give In To Me with” Slash in Munich, Germany performing a rock concert in an abandoned railway repair factory.

June 19 : The “Jam” short film is premiered on FOX, BET & MTV.

June : Michael shoots the video for “Who Is It” (directed by David Fincher).

May 12 : Michael shoots his Pepsi commercial entitled “Dreams” with model Vanessa Sandin. Another Pepsi commercial with Michael singing “I’ll Be There” on a piano is shot around this time.

April 23 : The “In The Closet” short film is premiered on FOX, MTV & BET.

April 20 : Michael is in Chicago to film the video for Jam featuring Michael Jordan, Kriss Kross and rapper Heavy D. Jimmy Safechuck, Brett Barnes, Macauley Culkin & Wade Robson visit him on the set.

March 29 : Michael films the video for “In The Closet” directed by Herb Ritts and featuring Naomi Campbell.

February 2 :  Fox, BET & MTV simultaneously premiere the 9 minute short film for “Remember The Time”. It peaks at #3 on Hot 100 Billboard.

January : Michael participates with painter Greg Hildebrandt for a pre-production painting commissioned by a producer for a planned film entitled “Adam at Midnight”, a story set in New Orleans where Michael was set to play the lead part as “a male Cinderella type character”; the project was ultimately cancelled. Anton Furst, the director of MidKnight commits suicide which puts the film on ice.

1991

November 14 : The Black Or White” short film is premiered in 27 countries around the world by almost 500 million viewers! The 11 minutes short film was directed by John Landis and features Macauley Culkin, Brandi Jackson, George Wendt, Heavy D, Wade Robson, Bart & Omer Simpson.

Michael’s plan to appear in a film called “MidKnight” produced by Jon Peters, is reported. Columbia Pictures were set to release the film in the summer of 1992, but it never finalized due to the death of the director. Earlier, Michael had invited the director, screenwriter, and executive to Neverland Ranch to discuss it.

November 3 : Michael begins filming the video of Remember The Time in Los Angeles directed by John Singleton and featuring Eddie Murphy, Iman & Magic Johnson. Emmanuel Lewis visits Michael on se set.

October : A 30 seconds commercial directed by David Lynch begins airing on TV to promote the forthcoming release of Dangerous.

July 26 : The media report that Steven Spielberg has invited Michael to make a cameo appearance in his new film “Hook”, based on the book “Peter Pan”.

July : News surfaces of Michael first movie for Colombia Picture Entertainment, a science fiction musical extravaganza named “MidKnight”.

June : Michael films the “Black or White” short film featuring Macauley Culkin, Wade Robson, Brandi Jackson, Bart & Omer Simpson.

1990

August 06 : LA Gear’s first advertisement, starring Michael and his 8 year old niece Brandi Jackson (Jackie’s daughter), premieres on ABC and in movie theaters. In 30 seconds commercial, we can see MJ dancing alone in the street by night.
