March 31 : Michael returns for the second day to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., this time as a guest of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Led, to speak with several members of Congress about his commitments to fighting the AIDS epidemic in Africa.
March 30 : Michael visits the office of the Republican Congressman, Chaka Fatah, in Washington, which Fatah stated to the press “Michael Jackson has been the main inspiration and motivation for my involvement in the issue of safe blood for Africa”.

October 25 : Michael is presented with the Key to the City of Las Vegas, Nevada by Mayor Goodman at Art Of Music Store in the Desert Passage Mall in Las Vegas. He is accompanied by his friend Mark Lester & manager Dieter Wiesner.
October 1 : During a charity event at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Michael presents the Medical Visionary Award to Dr Alan Metzger in recognition for his work to aid LUPUS patients.
June 12 : Michael attends a Rainbow/PUSH Coalition breakfast planning meeting with Reverend Jesse Jackson in Chicago.
June 11 : Accompanied by Karen and his cousins Elijah & Levon, Michael returns to his hometown Gary. Michael first goes to the City Hall where the Mayor King presents him with a Key to the city. He then returns to his childhood home 2300 Jackson Street that now belongs to a cousin of Joseph Jackson! Later, Michael visits Roosevelt High School and in the evening he attends “Salute to the Troops”, an event held at the Baseball Stadium.
June 9 : Michael attends the National Cable Telecommunications Association conference in Chicago with Chris Tucker. Michael stays for about 10 minutes in a cameo appearance to support brother Marlon, who was the new co-owner of the Black Family Channel.
June 03 : Michael attends a lunch at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition created by Rev. Jesse Jackson in Chicago, Illinois. The not for profit organisation seeks social kustice, civil rights and the awakening of political activism. Operation PUSH (People United to Save Humanity) focuses its work on the city’s black population, its churches, schools, slums and playgrounds and promotes hope for a better future.
May 30 : Michael attends a party at Robert Evans’ house to celebrate the launch of Brett Ratner’s book “Hilhaven Lodge: The Photo Booth Pictures”, a collection of shots from a photo booth at Ratner’s Beverly Hills mansion, including Michael himself; he briefly interviews with “Los Angeles Times” there about Ratner.

July 6 : Michael attends a fan demonstration at the Sony Music offices in Manhattan, New York. As he did in London, Michael arrives on the top of a double-decker bus. Later, Michael goes to a civil rights meeting to speak out against the music industry’s treatment of the artists and he calls Tommy Mottala a “racist, mean and devilish man” which causes a huge controversy. In the evening, Michael attends a fan-club party with Grace & Karen at the Grand Ballroom of Webster Hall where he is presented with the ‘The Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Fan Award’.
June 14 : Michael visits the Houses of Parliament accompanied by Uri Geller and magician David Blaine. Later, Michael leaves Paddington Station, on a train ride to Exeter with Geller, Blaine, Mark Lester & 200 fans. They go to St James’ Park where 10 000 had gathered for this fund-raising event, organized to raise money for the footclub club and two charities aimed at combating Aids and malaria.
February 9 : Michael & Elizabeth Taylor attend the fund-raiser Art For Aids : A Tribute To Rock Hudson at the Laguna Art Museum in Laguna Beach. Later in the evening, they attend a private dinner at Dana Point with Michael’s dermatologist Dr Arnold Klein.

March 5 : Michael has lunch with friends Uri Geller and Shmuley Boteach in a restaurant in the center of London. Later, he accompanies them to the Royal Institute of British Architects to attend a brief ceremony for the launch of a new book co-written by Boteach and Geller, “Confessions of a Rabbi and Psychic”.
February 14 : Hundreds of fans gather inside Carnegie Hall in New York to welcome Michael to a pre-launch event panel for his new charity ‘Heal The Kids’. The charities main initiative is to help restore a child’s birthright to nurturing care. Michael Jackson’s Heal The World Foundation and The Seminar Center presented a special Valentines Day Extravaganza featuring an all-star pPanel of celebrities and experts. The event takes place at the Carnegie Hall in New York City with Shmuley Boteach & Frank Cascio.
From adversity as children to superstardom as professionals, The King of Pop, Michael Jackson and London Times “Millennium Preacher of the Year” and international best-seller author, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, have had to learn to balance careers and parenthood. This was the first public event by the Heal the Kids initiative, a project of the Heal the World Foundation that aims to help busy adults reprioritize children. May 26 : Michael escorts Dame Elizabeth Taylor to a tribute concert honoring her at the Royal Albert Hall in London. At the end of the concert, As Elizabeth takes a standing ovation, Michael walks onto the stage with a huge bouquet of white flowers. Joan Collins and other stars join Elizabeth and Michael on stage.

December 4 : Michael attends Whitney Houston ‘s Fund Raising Event at the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York with his old friend Gregory Peck.
July 18 : Michael attends Nelson Mandela’s 81st Birthday in Johannesburg, South Africa.
June 24 : Michael visits the U.S. Army base in Seoul to support the soldiers. He meets with base officials and signs autographs for the troops. This is the Eighth Army, a U.S. field army that commands all U.S. military forces in South Korea. In 1999, its headquarters was at Yongsan Garrison, in the district of the same name, in central Seoul. It has since relocated to Camp Humphreys, about ninety kilometers from Seoul. After taking some photos and signing autographs, Michael decides to make an impromptu visit to Lotte World Adventure with Franck Cascio. This leisure complex opened in 1989 and is located near Jamsil Olympic Stadium, south of the Han River.
June 22 : Michael invites about twenty children from an orphanage in Namsan to spend the day with him. They have lunch together at his hotel, and in the early afternoon, Michael decides to do some shopping. So, accompanied by the children, he goes by bus to the Gangnam Tower store. In the afternoon, the King of Pop is at Everland Park, where he had the opportunity to visit the previous year. This time, he is not there as a tourist but as a guest of honor. Surrounded by the park’s mascots, he attends a reception where he inaugurates a copper plaque bearing one of his messages, in the Victoria Theater of the park and an imprint of his hand. Michael declares, “I really love Korea, and I will continue to love it in the future”. He then attends, in the Rose Garden of the park (now called the Four Seasons Garden, located in the European Adventure section), alongside children with disabilities, a children’s choir, and a traditional music performance. Between performances, he shows care and attention to the young disabled children.

May 1 : Michael attends the Bollywood Movie Award held at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York. He is dressed in a black Indian suit designed by Manish Malhotra. He accepts a special “Humanitarian Award” from London-based industrialist S.P. Hinduja for his role in promoting the cause of global peace.
March 23 : Michael visits Nelson Mandela’s Cape Town residence, and announces two charity concerts entitled “Michael Jackson & Friends – The Adventure of Humanity.”; one in Seoul, and one in Munich. He says the theme of the shows are “What More Can I Give”, a song he is working on at the time.
February 27 : Michael attends Elizabeth Taylor’s birthday celebration at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas with Dr Arnold Klein. He presents Elizabeth with a football-size elephant handbag covered in jewels, inspired by Gipsy.

September 24 + 25 : Michael & Don Barden attend the World Gaming congress & Expo in Las Vegas.
August 4 : Michael and Stevie Wonder visit the Motown Museum in Detroit with Berry Gordy’s sister Ester Edwards. As they leave the Museum, it is announced that the project has been rejected, receiving only 44 % of the votes against the 56 % obtained by the Mayor of Detroit.
August 3 : Michael arrives in Detroit, Michigan early in the afternoon to urge city residents to vote for his Majestic Kingdom entertainment complex project with Don Barden.
July 28 : Michael holds a press conference in Tokyo to announce the creation of a new company, Michael Jackson Japan Co. Ltd. The company is intended to build theme parks and sell toys throughout the world. Later, Michael visits Sega’s Joypolis to enjoy games and rides.
July 25 : Michael attends the Kick Boxing Champion All-Star Match in Tokyo, Japan. He is presented with a Kimono with a black belt and was honored with the “President of the International Karate-club” title.
July 19 : Michael attends the 80th birthday banquet and wedding reception of Nelson Mandela with Graca Machel. The wedding reception is combined with Nelson’s birthday party at the Gallagher Convention Centre. May 17 : Michael goes to Namibia with Don Barden. He pleads for children’s cause during the opening statement of the World Economic Forum Summit. Michael is invited to the State House, official residence of the Namibian President Sam Nujoma and he meets two presidents Theo-Ben Gurirab and Nangolo Mbumba.
May 15 : Michael holds a press conference in Beverly Hills to announce a series of benefit concerts for the World Peace Foundation For Children. The first concert will take place in Seoul on October 11 with Luciano Pavarotti and Elizabeth Taylor, and the funds will be intended for families and children affected by the floods that devastated North Korea in 1995. The concert is planned at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium (where the HIStory Tour concerts took place), but the star still hopes to perform in the demilitarized zone.

November 21 : Back in Seoul, Michael holds a press conference alongside presidential candidate Kim Dae-Jung. The meeting, lasting about thirty minutes, takes place at the offices of Kim Dae-Jung’s Asia Pacific Peace Foundation, which the Korean politician founded in 1994. After answering questions, the two men exchange gifts. Kim Dae-Jung presents Michael with a calligraphy piece created in his presence (the meaning of which is unknown). In a video conference room at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, the two men also participate in a satellite interview with George Soros, an American-Hungarian philanthropist, and Mickey Kantor, former U.S. Trade Representative, aiming to support the Korean politician’s candidacy. Michael stated, “Korea is a warm country, full of love, sincerity, and complete innocence.”
October 11 : Michael is made an honorary member of the Bafokeng Ka Bakwena African tribe (the people of the crocodile) in the village of Phokeng, located about a thirty-five minute drive south of Sun City. Katherine, Joe, Omer Lisa Marie and her children attend the ceremony. That same day, Michael is invited to spend some time in Danie de Jager’s studio in Hartbeespoort, in the North West province, halfway between Johannesburg and Sun City.

May 29 : Michael makes a visit at the mayor of Bremen, Germany “Hening Scherf” and greets the fans before going to do his soundcheck at the stadium for his HIStory World Tour.
May 28 : Michael meets Poland’s first lady Jolanta Kwasniewska at the presidential palace. Then he visits the Bristol hotel. Later he meets mayor Marcin Swiecicki at the City Hall. He quickly takes an helicopter to Lubiaz, in order to visit the Abbey. May 27 : Michael goes to Warsaw in Poland to study a project of amusement park for Kingdom Entertainment. He visits the Willanow Palace with Marek Kwiatkowski, Then he visits the Stefana Batorego high school. At night, Michael and Marcin Swiecicki attend a Chopin recital by pianist Bart Kominek at the Stanislas theatre. After the recital, Michael is presented with the city’s key by the mayor of Warsaw, Marcin Swiecicki.
May 8 : Michael attends a midnight private presentation of his “Ghosts” short film at the Cannes Film Festival. He climbs the lengendary steps of the Palais des Festivals with Stan Winston & Tarak Ben Ammar among others.
May 2 : Michael arrives in Munich, Germany with Tarak Ben Ammar. He is presented with a plaque from soccer club 1860 Munich, as well as a blue and white soccer-shirt saying ‘Michael Jackson’ on the back, at the Munich Olympic Stadium. November 17 : Michael visits the Children’s Hospital in Randwick, Syndey. Michael attends a ceremony at the iconic Sydney Opera House with a huge crowd in his honour. Michael appears for a presentation by Sony Music, with the CEO Denis Handlin, for record sales in Australia for albums and singles with an advance order of 130,000 copies, the largest initial shipment in Sony Australia’s history.
November 15 : After his concert , just after midnight (thus on the 15th) , Michael gets married to Debbie Rowe in the presidential suit of the Sheraton-on-the-Park Hotel. His cousin Anthony Jackson & Dr Metzger are his Best Men. Michael denies, in a press release, the news reports claiming that Debbie has been artificially inseminated. Later that day, Michael visits Sydney’s Taronga Zoo. At night, Michael, Debbie & Anthony attend the Australian premiere of “Ghosts”.
November 8 : Michael arrives in Auckland, New Zealand for his HIStory Tour. He is greeted at the airport by the artist Sir Howard Morrison who presentq him with a pendant with a green stone, the New Zealand jade (Pounamu) Maori, traditionally offered in Maori culture. The two men also greet each other according to the Maori tradition, practicing the hongi.
November 4 : While in Bangkok, Thailand for his HIStory Tour, Michael visits children at an orphanage and a school for the blind. He hands out toys and donates $100,000 to the orphanage.
October 31 : Michael visits the Thackeray family home in Mumbai. Michael attends an Halloween party with the Cascios at his hotel in Mumbai.
October 30 : Michael arrives in Mumbai, India with the Cascio family. He is welcomed by indian actress Sonali Bendre, Raj Thackeray, Shiv Sena and Sharmila Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray. At night Michael attends briefly a party honouring him at The Oberoi hotel where he is presented with a replica of Taj Mahal and he meets Indian actor Anupam Kher.
October 14 : Before leaving South Korea, MJ visits the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Myeongdong where he meets Cardinal Stephen Kim Sou-hwan, a religious figure in the country.
October 10 : A little before 4 p.m., still accompanied by Omer Bhatti, Michael leaves the hotel, awaited by fans and staff. His white van takes him to the Children’s Grand Park, just a few minutes from the hotel. Later, Michael visits Song Jook Orphanage in Seoul, South Korea. In the evening, the Pop star is invited to leave his handprints and autograph for the Tower Records music store. It appears to be Gangman Tower Records, which was located near Gangnam Station.
October 9 : In the late morning, Michael, accompanied by Omer Bhatti, lands at Gimpo International Airport, at that time the only airport in Seoul, Korea greeted by numerous fans, as usual. Over a thousand security personnel were dispatched to ensure the safety of the star and the fans and surround the small welcoming ceremony that took place in front of the airport exit. He received a bouquet of flowers and uttered a simple “I love you, thank you” into the microphone reserved for him, under the lenses of a row of paparazzi. Michael checks in the Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul. In the evening, a welcome dinner is organized at the Walkerhill Hotel. The King of Pop accompanied the children’s choir, dressed in hanbok, traditional costumes, who performed “Heal The World” and delivered a short speech. Omer Bhatti is by his side.

December 4 : Second day of dress rehearlsals at the Beacon Theatre. Michael is rehearsing his “Childhood” performance at the Beacon Theatre with French artist Mime Marceau and they welcome the press.
November 2 : Michael is presented with the Africa Diamond Award from the President of Ghana, Jerry Rawlings, during a dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. In return, Michael presents a gold sword to Jerry Rawlings on behalf of Saudi Arabia’s Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal. The sword represented the act of cutting through divisions that divide people.
November 4 : Michael is presented with a Golden Otto Awards from “Bravo” magazine.
August 12 : Michael attends a private party at Kingdom 5KR, the yacht of Prince Al Waleed. He is photographed with a mike in his hands. To this day, it is unkownn if Michael sang at this party.
July 25 : In NYC, MJ attends a press conference at the Bryant Park Grill together with Mayor Rudolf Giuliani to announce the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards nominations + a special HBO concert planned at the Beacon Theatre on December 10.
May 27 : Michael attends the “Son of Famous Monsters of Filmland Horror, Sci-Fi and Fantasy World Convention” dressed as Nosferatu with his bodyguard. They are in disguise as Tom and Harry.
April 18 : Michael and Lisa Marie host the World Congress of Children seminar, where they paid for 46 young ambassadors across 18 countries to fly to Neverland to attend the three day seminar to discuss drug abuse, homelessness, increasing violence, AIDS, and child abuse. The children presented issues with their perspective countries and worked with the Heal the World foundation on solutions, to be presented to the “World Summit of Children” as part of the United Nations golden jubilee in June. There, the children presented their findings to the Secretary of the United Nations Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Reverend Jessie Jackson, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and several United Nations Ambassadors.

October 10 : Michael and Lisa Marie visit almost every room in the St. Jude’s Hospital in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. The pair hands out toys, signed autographs & chat with the sick children.

September 5 : Michael & Lisa walk the shopping strip, rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré in Paris, popping in to the Gianni Versace store and Elysee Palace. They also visited Louis XIV’s palace and the Palace of Versailles.
August 08 : In Budapest, Hungary, MJ and LMP visit the sick children at Bethesda Children’s Hospital in Budapest. They meet little Bela Farkas, an orphaned boy who needs a transplant. Moved by his story, Michael decides to finance the operation he needs to be saved.
August 06 : Michael and Lisa Marie visit two children’s facilities in Budapest, Hungary: the Heim Pal Hospital For Children and the Bethesda Hospital.

October 22 : Michael visits the children of Luis Calvo Mackenna hospital in Santiago, Chile, where he spends four hours distributing gifts and lifting spirits.
October 15 : Michael visits Márcio de Paula at his hospital.
October 14 : Michael wants to visit the Estrela Toy Factory based in Guarulhos. Márcio de Paula, living near the factory decided to have a glimpse of the King of Pop! Accompanied by his sister, Márcio, who was 15 at the time, felt “a very bad feeling” when observing the huge amount of fans, press and police in front of the factory. So, to get away from the crowd, he decided to lean against a police car. There were not enough security guards at the scene and when Michael and his entourage realized that inside the factory was as full as outside, they decided to cancel the visit. “The cars turned around, at that moment I was standing there on the hood of the police car, and when the factory gates opened, that crowd became abuzz and the cars began to lose control, and were swerving away from people, because people threw themselves in front of the cars. And in that, his vehicles were hitting the car I was leaning in. So, actually, I was squeezed by his entourage’s car.” Márcio was not the only one hit, other people were injured, including his younger sister, who suffered burns to her body. However, his case was the most serious. “I suffered a lot of injuries, had an open fracture of the femur and had to be rushed through. From the waist down I hurt myself all over,” he said.

April 26 : As part of “Heal L.A drive”, Michael visits Los Angeles South Central with Caroline Bingham & Adrian Grant.
April 13 : Michael travels to Pawtucket, in the state of Rhode Island. This small town, bordering Providence, the state capital, is near the Massachusetts border and close to Boston. Michael is there to visit the headquarters of the famous American toy manufacturer, Hasbro. During a visit lasting more than two hours, the singer has the opportunity to see the various production rooms.
March 27 : Michael makes a five-minute speech in front of 1200 teachers and politicians at a conference in the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles which is sponsorised by the Milken Family Trust.
March 11 : Walking on churches, Michael attends the “AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Elizabeth Taylor” for his friend Elizabeth Taylor’s award acceptance in Los Angeles, California, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

December 21 : Michael visits Sega one more time during an off day from the Dangerous Tour. Michael is shown new and unreleased Sega items and meets with the Chairman Isao Okawa.

December 10 : MJ is welcomed at U.S. Consulate in Tokyo, in recognition for his humanitarian efforts through his “Heal the World Foundation”. During a press conference Michael is presented with a check for $10,000 for the Heal The World Foundation by Tour Sponsor Pepsi.
November 24 : Michael speaks at a press conference for his “Heal the World Foundation” in Queens, New York at one of John F. Kennedy International Airport’s cargo hangars, announcing that he has teamed up with AmeriCares to deliver relief supplies (including blankets, medicines, shoes and winter clothing) to war-torn Sarajevo, that his foundation will be organizing the “World’s Children’s Congress” in 1993, made up exclusively of delegates aged 8 to 16 for an “innocent perspective on the world’s problems”, plans for “Convoy USA”, an effort to heal the children of America’s inner cities, and speaking on the importance of children in the world.
September 30 : Michael visits the Leaganul De Copii Sfanta Ecaterina orphanage. Many Romanians gather around the children’s center, awaiting Michael’s arrival. The then-president, Ion Iliescu, had arrived shortly before him, along with a delegation. Michael meets Princess Ecaterina Caradja. In the mid-afternoon, introduced by the Romanian Prime Minister, Michael delivers a speech in which he discusses the goals of his Heal The World Foundation and the first project that took shape thanks to this playground. He then goes to Cotroceni Palace, the residence of the Romanian president. Welcomed like a true head of state, Michael tours the palace alongside Iliescu. He will return the following evening after the concert and receive a trophy and a gendarmerie uniform from the president.
September 29 : Michael goes to Bran Castle in Brasov. More than a three-hour drive north of Bucharest, this castle, now owned by the famous Austrian royal family, the Habsburgs, is mainly associated in collective memory with Vlad III the Impaler, better known as Count Dracula. In fact, Dracula and his legend were the only information Michael Jackson knew about Romania when he arrived in the country.
September 28 : Michael arrives in Bucharest, Roumania. Michael is taken directly to Snagov Palace, about forty kilometers northeast of Bucharest. Near the monastery of the same name, Snagov Palace is an impressive villa located on the western shore of Lake Snagov. It was built in the early 1930s by Prince Nicolae, brother of King Carol II, in the Neo-Renaissance style. During the Ceausescu era, it served as a meeting place for senior government officials. Today, it is a retreat for state guests and can also be reserved for receptions or conferences. However, it is not open to the public.

July 26 : Michael & Emmanuel Lewis visit the Community Youth Sports & Arts Foundation Center in Los Angeles. The charity addresses drug abuse problems and provides relief programs for families of gang members. While there, Michael offer them financial support and donates a top-of-the-range wide-screen television set.
June 23 : Accompanied by Macauly Culkin and his family Michael attends a dinner at Disney World in Orlando, Florida with Make-a-Wish founders to discuss ways in which he could help the organization.

April 5 : Michael meets with President Bush at the White House Rose Garden ceremony to be honoured as Entertainer Of The Decade by the Capital Children’s Museum. Michael is received in the President’s Oval Office and spends some time in the Rose Garden with the First Lady, Barbara Bush. That same evening, MJ travels to McLean, Virginia, just about fifteen minutes northwest of Washington. He is invited to Merrywood, a sprawling Georgian-style estate on the banks of the Potomac River, built around 1919. The place is particularly renowned for having been the home where Jackie Kennedy, the wife of John F. Kennedy, spent part of her childhood. The house had belonged to her stepfather, Hugh D. Auchincloss II, since the 1930s. Michael attends a fundraising event in support of the Capital Children’s Museum. Organized by The Friends of the Capital Children’s Museum, the ceremony is also intended to honor Michael and his philanthropic efforts for children. Over 200 guests, who paid between $1,000 and $5,000 to attend the event, are present.
